Can you upload the game folder separately in the OP without the .jar archive? It changes every few versions, and there are cases when you have to download the game folder with an outdated .jar and then download the new .jar, which essentially means downloading the whole game twice. It would be better to be able to download the current folder separately and then the current .jar archive.
You only need to download the win version once. I think I am still using one from like a year ago. Don't know when the last time was it had to be redownloaded.
A new player will have to download 3 gigabytes of extra outdated content anyway, and then download the new .jar (or in the case of accidentally deleting the entire folder, like it happened to me). Now I'm downloading 6 gigabytes instead of 3. Otherwise, I would have just downloaded the folder without the .jar and the new .jar. Convenient.
I don't want to upload 5 files very week, its as easy as that. If a new player has to download 6 gb instead of 3, welp it is what it is. They could play with an outdated version til next weekly or monthly. Or if they want to get the full win version go to the patreon.
You choose to do so. You make the choice. They are making the choice available for players. But you don't have to take it.
I'm not saying that need to upload this folder every time, especially since it continues to work from far past versions. Why not just upload it to OP without any further updates and let it stay there?
Because we are not allowed to add modified versions. We need to keep the origs. (The only exceptions are cracks).
