Hayo! Yearly review here desu~
Been a pretty decent year for ToA, though it's been a struggle personally. Well, this year has been the year of the catgirl, so that's pretty nice - there's still more coming for the catgirls of the catgirl village and Cait in the next month or so, but then we're finally gonna tackle the world map finalization and story mode again, as well as do some catchup on the scenario winners.
The future of adult game development is looking pretty uncertain right now, but there's nothing to do but keep chugging along. That being said, let's do an overview of the progress this year!
YEAR-END REVIEW:
We added around
50 new pieces of art and animations this year, which is about our usual pace, and with both our animators back to it, we hope the quality has been even higher~
We've added the hidden Catgirl Village, which a bunch of new characters that are starting to shape up, and some fun new mechanics along with it. We still have to finish the Salon and the Inn, and there's a bunch of other interactions we have planned as well, so we're still really excited to show you all the village has to offer.
We're getting more companion interactions and outfits, though the full companion system is still on the horizon. Speaking of outfits, we've also started adding various new outfits for other characters as well, including the Dark Knight in her civilian clothing. We're going to be adding more expressions and gestures to the existing characters, and giving Hiro's animation model a much-needed upgrade so that our cute hero can be fully expressive~.
Feature-wise, we've added keyboard rebinding, ironman mode dedicated save slots, animation sounds with a unique volume control, dialog box opacity, more condom interactivity, alternate character outfit selection, and the big one: breast growth and characters commenting on said growth, which should also see an expansion (heh) in the coming year.
We're still thinking of trying for a Steam release, but with their new adult game policies not allowing for updates, we're still figuring out our strategy around that (if it'll even be possible). That's still waiting on story mode completion (and, depending on how strict their update policy is, the Evoker), which is waiting on world map finalization - so once you see world map finalization in, we're on the home stretch~
