Java Tales of Androgyny [v0.3.64.1] [Majalis]

Okay so this has probably been beaten to death 5000 times in this thread but here's an unga bunga step by step on how to play game:

INSTALL GAME:

On the first page you'll see 5 main downloads than an extras download. Completely ignore extras for now as they are most likely not updated for the current version. 1st thing you'll download is one of the 3 lower ones matching whatever operating system your computer is. Now extract that folder to wherever the hell you want. This is your game folder.

You'll see a couple of files but the important one is TalesOfAndrogny.jar. Go ahead and delete it.

Now go back to the OP of this thread, and download the Java file (The first main download out of the five). Put it in the game folder. Rename the new java file to "TalesOfAndrogny.jar" without quotes. Run TalesOfAndrogny.exe and get assfucked.

UPDATE GAME:

-Delete old TalesOfAndrogny.jar
-Download new game version jar file
-Put new file in game folder
-Rename new file to "TalesOfAndrogny.jar" without quotes
-???
-Porn

Without the error.txt in your save file folder no idea what the problem could be.

The comment clearly say you must install a folder containing many files :

You should now have a folder in your target installation folder with a name like "Tales of Androgyny Win64" - inside of that folder should be a several files (e.g. TalesOfAndrogyny.jar, TalesOfAndrogyny.json) and a jre folder.The structure differs depening on the version, but every version has some kind of application file, config.json, TalesOfAndrogyny.jar and a jre folder somewhere inside of it.

Then it warns you if your version of the game doesn't match the latest version OP has, you have to download one single file :

Note*: If the folder is not the same version number as the game, replaces the .jar inside the folder with the newest .jar from the Java download. (Please also read the importand note below)

Then it explains that further update you only need that file to be updated unless otherwise stated :

IF you already have a working full install, the only file that will typically differ between versions is TalesOfAndrogyny.jar. If you're experiencing crash errors with no error message, or error messages relating to ByteBuffers or Reflection, make sure that you do a full redownload.TalesOfAndrogny.jar is located in the Game Downloads folder as a standalone. Simply download it and backup and overwrite your current install's TalesOfAndrogyny.jar, and the new version should be visible when you launch the game on the title screen.

At worst, for the first time you download 4GB, further update will only be 2GB (unless once again you are requires to redo a full installation), it's not really a big of a deal.

This was a crash in the last version because they changed how the cages work and the Paladin class has one to begin with. But it has nothing to do with the zip file from the OP it was fixed in the game files that are all inside the .jar.

Not specific to you Flugelbozz, just in general if you want the game without bugs just wait for monthly updates that are the clean builds, they don't contain new art/story, only typo fixes, but have no bugs.

This is a very useful feature f95 added. I report on an un-updated game and the OP is updated fairly fast.

Too be fair, when the crashes first started happening for people, that menu got me. I think it was the progress button that would cause a crash. Granted it isn't good to edit things for karma reasons.

I'm not savvy on how Majalis works, regardless you see the result, the file being updated is the most heavy one. But that issue lies not with us or even the uploader, but the one who is programming. The uploader only give the new files, he is not the one who is writing the code I assume (are you actually Majalis?).

If 2GB is too big for you, the onus is on you, not the pirate website. You manage your own download tendencies. You do your research as to not waste what is precious commodities to you. You can also download not often, like monthly or yearly, up to you.

The file being updated is the game itself. The folder you download is mainly fore jre and such. It's why you simply download the jar and replace to update the game.

I am exited to see when either Enchanter gets a rework, or you can use a better class. If I recall, you are stuck with four for all stats and no perks or spells. Guess Hiro really is supposed to get rekt before he succeeds.

Enchanter is intended as a slow-burner, that perk point early on with bonuses can really help. It would be nice to see that come to a head in Story Mode either with an Invoker class change or more encounters before the Dark Knight. And yeah, more magic solutions for story mode fights would be pog.

I usually use it if I iron-man for lewd achievements or scenes since it's built for getting some secks. It just isn't good in storymode, which I assume is canon for Hiro.

Which in particular? I know that best boy is there, but which one really gets you.

I also do a lil bit of save-edit fu and give Hiro the warriors weak to anal perk so the anal sluttery is even more of a thing.

No. Just use the stats to get top charisma, get the scene, then get an ending. That or avoiding meeting him for a second time before your stats are high enough.

I kinda do hope this gets changed, especially since Travelling Healer Kylira is still not working. Would be nice to have a way to recruit him even after the initial CHR thing. Maybe have him moonlighting?

This game does so many things right, but makes catastrophic mistakes.

If you want to train up sex skills in the brothel, after a while, you go Pro Bono, and you lose all the options to do more sex work. Stupid. So you miss out on a bunch of sex scenes, forced to start over, fucking stupid.

It might as well just be a gallery game. You click "Demon Encounter" and it just tells you the story of how Hiro encountered and had sex with the Demon.

This is a complete failure of a game, but the erotic art & story telling is good, but the game aspect is a huge mess right now, and I doubt it will ever be fixed.

You basically reach certain endings way too soon. So the game is over, in the sense of an ending, even after playing like 20 minutes, wtf? There's a difference between game over; defeat, and an actual ending. The actual endings come way too soon, too premature, and you miss out on tons of content.

Starting over & over is really annoying.

Once you tell Kylira to join your party, you can't have her work at the brothel. Fucking stupid.

Dumb ass developer, instead of adding more sex scenes every week, work on the fucking game aspect. Stop adding sexual content for 30 days and fix the fucking game. Take one step back to move three steps forward. Jesus man. If the game just came out a year ago, these mistakes would forgivable, but it's been out for fucking years and they haven't fixed it yet.

I don't know what goof you are on about, but I will agree that some endings come out of the blue. Like that toy girl for example. Ruined a good run I had as a beginners trap which taught me the folly of being a hypocrite whom claims he is going against the demons while having sex with anything that walks. Now I am only a holy warrior whom blue-balls everyone I meet.
