Edit: Alright, finished...
Anyway, which path through the CYOA did you take? Was it too long for your liking? Too short? Just right? We'd appreciate any feedback you could give us! Also, any bugs or glitches? What resolution did you play on? Any screen tearing or text bleed? We tested the game on a wide variety of setups, but you never know...
Oh, and thanks for the support - we really appreciate it!
I saw that our scripter updated the launch post with some new info, it should help you get it working. We had the same problem during testing and I think it was the antivirus or something IIRC... I don't know the details; I just write and leave the technical stuff to him, but he solved it for us so just do whatever he says!getting a white screen on launch, updated my graphics driver, any ideas?
That sounds great. I know it might be too much for such a small indie team, but I actually do want to see some gameplay depth. Things like character builds and skill trees if we are on the cRPG side, and things like job advancement on the jRPG side. I don't know about others, but when there is gameplay involved that is a significant part of a game, I do want it to rival non-porn games on the fun scale. It seems like you guys have a very ambitious vision, so might as well go all out hehe.Wow, that's really cool to hear! Hope we won't disappoint! As to features and mechanics, keep in mind we're still early in development and the art isn't complete yet, but I'll try to summarize the stuff we have planned:
The closest approximation would be the 2017 game Battle Chasers: Nightwar, in that interactions are handled via icons, and the maps are giant hand-painted 2D art pieces. We're planning on introducing animations later on once we grow the core dev team... but for the time being both lewd and non-lewd content is made of static 2D images, as seen in this thread.
- combat: turn-based (party vs. party) with multiple spells, abilities, items, and group formations
- dungeons: top-down bird's-eye-view with custom maze-like interiors, traps, containers, and enemies
- towns/hubs: hand-painted exterior 2D maps filled with NPCs, loot, and lewds... lots of dialogue/convos!
- mechanics: general RPG stuff (game pillars are exploration, combat, branching dialogue, and itemization)
