If any of you following the game here have bought a copy on Steam, please leave a review.
We're getting absolutely retarded negative reviews from players who refuse to read the Steam page about the game features.
Just the last few gems from people who bought on Steam:
- game doesn't have a Korean translation (yeah no shit, it's in English!!)
- textbox bug (not a bug, he just didn't read the tutorial saying you can toggle text via SHIFT)
- nothing to do except reading (ToLLA is essentially a VN with free-roam, ofc there's nothing else to do)
- not enough story (there's easily 15h+, but the guy opted out after 2h)
- crashes/freezes (happens when you abuse the PAGE DOWN key to blitz through text blocks)
- leveling system needs work (the game doesn't even have a leveling system)
- there's no combat (game doesn't have combat, we didn't implement it yet and never even announced it)
- lewds are static (animations were never mentioned on the Steam page since we don't have them in-game)
- no H-scenes (written by a guy with 40min of playtime who didn't even make it past the intro)
- paywalling content thru DLC (lmao the DLC was announced as a free addition, but no one READS ANNOUNCEMENTS)
None of these people judge the game on what's there, only on what's missing or what they THINK should be in there. We got 10+ negative reviews that killed our launch momentum. Meanwhile everyone who says they love the game usually don't leave a review, even tho it takes like 5 seconds to do it.
I honest to god don't know what the fuck players are smoking, this is the most retarded review section in the history of Steam. I've re-read all the negative ones looking for feedback to make the game better, but almost all of them are some variation of
"Writing and art are nice, but I'm gonna leave a thumbs-down because feature X isn't in the game!".
Absolutely mind boggling.
