Ren'Py - Completed - Tentacular [Release 4] [Jackerman]

The latex suits don't make an appearance in sex scenes, despite being front and center of promotional material.
All sex scenes are like between 3 and 5 images of "build up" and then one animation, really underwhelming.

Review on Release 3

Was pleasantly surprised by this one. But there are definitely a few things that can still be improved.

Cons: Mainly the MC

• Similar to other reviewers, I feel like having an "MC" that is both seemingly dumb and inexperienced and a disgusting rapist is pretty unpleasant. Since this game doesn't pretend to be realistic and certainly does not want to portray a romantic relationship between the two main characters, I can somewhat get over it but it's still not exactly fun to watch.
• I feel like there's just something off about the MC's look. In my opinion, as it relates to bestiality, you either go full-on realistic animals, like the dogs or "horses" that wee see in this game (the horses are said to actually be aliens, but they just look like horses) or you just go so far into monster territory that it's hard to compare with any actual animal, like we also see in this game. The MC in this case pretty much looks like an ordinary octopus, only he's green and has a very creepy human face. It's just off and I don't like it. Sort of the uncanny valley of bestiality.

Mehs: Weird gameplay

• The gameplay is... somewhat okay. I feel like it isn't too grindy but it's not a completely straightforward VN either, so in some ways, the dev managed to thread a needle here. But there are still a few issues here, like the layout of the ship is pretty confusing so that it takes a while until you know where to go. At some point, you also have bought pretty much everything there is to buy, and you're just always skipping morning, afternoon and evening to get to the night and midnight scenes. Also, the third act is way more convoluted than it needs to be to get the keys; if I remember correctly, you need to answer some questions correctly so that you get a credit so that you can use the credit to buy something on the pc (don't remember what it was) so that you can then use that something to get a key so that you can then use that key to unlock one of the doors.... eh, what? There are at least a couple steps that could be omitted there.
  But all in all, like I said, the mix between sandbox and VN isn't too badly done and you pretty much always know what to do next since there's basically just one story thread.

Pros: Pretty much everything else

• I really like the absurd body proportions of the women in the game. In my opinion, there's not enough games out there that have this and from the point of view of developers I get it, pretty much any dev that just has one female character with over-sized boobs gets crucified by the reviews (just look at some of the reviews of this game). But I've always enjoyed over-sized boobs and cocks (I'm sort of iffy on enormous butts, but I'll take the package deal if I must ) especially because it's not realistic. I sort of fail to see the point of doing 3d animations if you're gonna stick with completely realistic portrayals, then you can just watch live-action porn. So yeah, bring it on.
• The renders are also just fantastic here which makes it even better. While there are definitely a fair few games out there with bimbos sporting over-sized boobs, they just don't compare to the flawless renders of games like this one; while the proportions are ridiculous compared to women in RL, the way that the dev has designed the characters, they still seem somewhat believable because of things like boobs that sag somewhat instead of just being completely spherical balloons. So you just generally have very high render and artwork quality which is just hugely important if you have these sex-first, story-second style games. The animations might only be okay but they're definitely not bad either.
• The main "LI" (calling her a love interest is a bit rich, but I don't know what else to call her) actually has a voice-over that is done really well and you see that in hardly any VN's. The dev apparently wants to get voice actresses for the other women so that's pretty promising as well. Definitely adds some immersion but at a pretty high cost for the dev so it's really commendable they went the extra mile here.
• You have a, in my opinion, really good mix of story and sexual content. Basically sexual content is never far away and it's the main point of the game. Especially in the second and third acts of the story, there are also some very weird but weirdly hot things to explore. That's all personal preference of course but I'm always up for some weird shit. For some reason, I love all-the-way-through stuff even though it's really rare (probably because, for some reason I already said I don't quite understand, people want realism in these games) and this game actually has some of that, not to mention all of the huge insertions with a whole range of different types of bestiality. Some of that I find really hot, some of that I dislike, for example, I'm never a fan of the growling, dribbling, somewhat anthropomorphic, disgusting monsters but it does fit into the rest of this game so I don't mind that it's there. Basically, it's a cornucopia of bestiality that will certainly have some stuff for anyone who's even somewhat into these sorts of things.

Conclusion

I think the main reasons I give this game 4 stars is because of the body proportions of the women, the great render and art quality plus the fact that the dev actually hired a voice actress for the main "love interest" of the game. I certainly am a fan of huge insertions and some more weird shit like all-the-way-through stuff even though I'm only so-so on some of the bestiality.
So this game is certainly niche stuff, it's definitely not gonna be for everybody and even I, with my somewhat eclectic tastes, have found some content in it that I don't particularly like or actually find off-putting. But that seems a poor reason to give this game a poor review, that's just personal preference.

On most of the things to objectively review, I didn't find too many flaws with the game and there are certainly things that even make it stand out but it doesn't get as much recognition for it because of its weird premise and niche sexual content.

So props to the dev, and for sticking to their guns and not caving to popular demand, there are definitely weirdos like myself out there who enjoy this sort of stuff

Its great now, and it will only get better for sure. Models are amazing and humour is great. Animations are awesome, most games here only have pics.

Im sure in the future when developer implements more ways and mechanics to get ''points'' this game will absolutely rock!

Even tho it looks kinda goofy the octopus it has one of the best animations in a while that I've seen has some structure for being spectacular.

[Updated R4 Review] Finished R4, and honestly, Jackerman outdoes it with every release. More scenes and renders, absolutely gorgeous characters, fun story (who cares about a "believable" story when the whole premise is fiction), voice acting, and new characters all make each release an upgrade to the last. Though the animations can use some work, the renders are very high quality. The proportion of the ladies isn't my favorite, but that doesn't effect how enjoyable this VN was for me at all (they're still hot af). I'm a huge fan of bestiality, and this game really caters to that with dogs, horses, gorillas, and aliens. Though, I really prefer dogs to the rest. Since there aren't many games revolving around bestiality and with amazing renders like this, it certainly deserves 5-stars in my book.

I sincerely hope Jackerman keeps making quality content like this. PLEASE PLEASE make that hinted sequel with Rebecca's dog, Roscoe, and her twins! Regardless, I'm sure we can all look forward to whatever Jackerman creates next.


[Original July2020 Review] Simply put, I love the concept. Simple click adventure and pretty straightforward progression, but the little bits of story are still fun themes. The renders and animation is really on point. The two babes are smoking hot! Love the K9 fuckbot scenes. Please keep it up or if you do other projects, I'm absolutely looking forward to them!

**Review for Version 2.1**
What a great game! If you are a fan of corruption, bestiality or mind control then goddamn I got a game for you! This mixes some of my favorites together in a simple yet sexy "game". Here's my breakdown...

----------GOOD----------
- Unique Fetishes: If you like the fetishes this deals with then this is a must play; some of the fetishes are harder to find in sex games (and on F95 zone) like bestiality, space tentacle sex or large insertions. Also I personally love the corruption fetish and talking her into doing sexy things is great here.
- Simple game play: In the "first part" there's a small mini game that is not hard at all, and seems to be abandoned in the "second update". I think cutting the mini game for a more "explore and make money to progress" is fine. Very easy to progress.
- Animations: The animations look pretty great (7/10) and the models all look nice. good sex scene animating.
- Voice acting! : Here's a game that NEEDED voice acting, because it is mainly just talking to the main girl. Adding voice acting adds a whole star for me. Also the lady they got to do her voice does a great job!

----------BAD----------
- (opinion) Proportions of model: The models proportions are a little bit much for me but that's just my opinion, not taking a star off for this.
- Lighting: Some of the sex scenes lighting is a little dark, like in the horse scene you cant see her face much at all. minor complaint because mostly they look great.
- No sex scene sounds: Most of the sex scenes (the animated loop parts) don't have sound, no moaning or wet slapping. I think ONE sex scene had sound and that was nice but adding some sound to that (preferably the girls moaning or whatnot) would be good.
- Nipples: This is a small gripe but the models nipples are a little flat, they don't seem to get hard or poke out much.

----------Conclusion----------
I loved this game and the fetishes it deals with! slightly bummed the action and "corruption / mind control" was just a simulation, hope we can get some more of that again for real this time. But I did love the K9 dog scenes with the main girl. Hope this only gets better!

Hey this is a great game i love the animations and the character rebecca is hot as heck her body is a real bombshell so sexy, i'm not so much into tentacles but in this game it seems alright and i guess we will see other scenes in future updates like robots

One star for the thicc female and that's about it, I didn't really enjoy anything else about this.
Her exaggerated proportions made everything else look tiny in comparison (even the horse cock or the "huge" cock of the mc), she deserves something bigger.
The main character is unlikeable and talks like a retard.
I'm not a fan of sexual harassment / rape, so this made it less enjoyable for me and I'm not thrilled about the future inclusion of ntr, even if optional.
The sex scenes are way too dark, uninspired and sloppily rendered (way too grainy for one thing).
There is a whole bunch of repetitive actions you have to perform, which couldn't really be called gameplay.
What looked like it could have been a nice game, turned out to be pretty boring.

Good Points

+We have animations.

Bad Points
-Story and plot is pretty empty. Actualy we dont even have plot or story at all. So its feels realy empty.
-Animations dont look that good. They need became more soft (25-30 imaged), better physics, more quality (in night scenes they look pixeled)
-Its not for everyone. Game more based bestiality even we can say we only have bestiality content. Cuz our MC is alien octopus with human looklike face. We have only some alien and dog sex scenes.

For The End
Well its not that bad game and have some hot scenes. But without good story/plot, good looking animations and sex scenes its not enjoyable that much. For bestiality lovers this could be more enjoyable but when we look for normal player or objektivly looking its little bit poor. 2 star rate is ok for this game. If DEV fix bad points it could be 3-3.5 star rate game to. I hope he will.

Only 3 things keep it from a 5 IMO
... the map is a pain to navigate through at times, couldn't help but feel like it could lose a few rooms unless they're needed down the road, or it could use a map you can just click around without clicking 3 rooms you don't need every time you want to get somewhere.
... lotsa scenes!, however if not for the info the dev gave (which hopefully he'll keep putting out for now) it might have been hard to find them all, some guidance or at least scene tracking would be nice down the road.
... the knotting scene (anal) doesn't really show knotting (insertion), expression before, inside after, no images of the entry or her face during it, always figure if you're doing a fet show the fet happening.
Plus hopefully down the road when she's knocked up we can get a chance to milk those giant knockers, by hand (tentacle), by snout, by milking machine, not picky (they're amazing )
Edit: Decided to take it to a 5, it's doing something almost no other games are, but with the note I still hope the above issues get addressed.

A bit short but excellent animations. please don't waste time trying to make game mechanics in renpy, the current way to collect pheromones is tolerable. The idea of the story is good, talking is not boring. The lady looks perfect! Haven't encountered bugs. Can't wait to see more! Please have some bondage content as well.

This game is hilariously boring, there are no puzzles, there are no real choices, you just farm pheromones and exhaust all the dialogue options. Then you follow whatsherface around and click take video, very few of which are actually very interesting. One wonders why you can't videotape her getting fucked by the dog. Like, that's basically it, and I get that this is only the second release, but that doesn't make any of this good. (if sufficient updates fix this, I will update my review)

A game that I like a lot. Good dialogs, great images and animation, consumes a lot of resources, corruption and story, and then jerk.

Who would have guessed that Space Dog and Alien would explode as a genre. But atleast it’s not one of those where they only show a tiny image of it and the rest is background.

Release 1 Review: An extremely interesting concept with an unorthodox main character and extremely hot female lead character. The alien MC perspective is pretty uncommon for these kind of games and it was a lot of fun to work through his conversations with Rebecca in between the scenes of him slowly corrupting her, which were also hot. Taking into consideration that this was a demo of sorts it was great and hooked me in anticipation for Release 2.

Release 2 Review: In a matter of weeks Jackerman added over a GB of content that incuded a much more developed ship with several rooms to explore, another foxy female character, sound effects, several more aliens and 20ish sex related animations. This is still an early work in progress but it is leaps and bounds more developed than R1 and I am extremely excited about the direction this new game is going. Jackerman has a good read on what the game's growing community of fans are looking for. Keep up the great work!

Played this game last week and I keep coming back to it.

The art is top notch, the humor is good, and the story is great. I like that you are manipulating her with pheromones or whatever and that she's got some shitty husband back home.

I also like that there will be other aliens in later versions and I'm very excited for the next release.

EDIT: Played through release 2, it's even better.

Story: This game isn't about story. It pretty much tells you that from the outset with its presentation so I am not going to worry to much about it. This is mostly mindless fun and I agree to treat it as such.
However the depth of the dialogue is surprising as the character interactions have a natural progression. I wasn't expecting that from a tentacle monster and a blow up doll. I am interested to see if the addition of characters continues this trend.

Play this and enjoy it. I would recommend finding a bugfix but don't put this on a watchlist. Just be pleasantly surprised when it gets a new release.

really enjoyed, just wish there wasn't a grind-mini-game that isn't really fun. i kinda would think it'd be better if it was simplified or maybe like you see randomized clips of various usages of the slime, like a horny teenage girl ordering the slime to pour in her vagina and masturbate with or a sci-fi-suburb mom drinking it as an aphrodisiac. i kinda dont like the recycled content like clothed spank, unclothed spank or at least wish the grind was easier/non existant given some of the steps are kinda recycled animations and stuff. an option or version to change eye and hair colour would be cool. would love a blonde/blue eyed version. pretty good-ish dialogue and character dynamics. like the college alien thing but would want to see actual penetration, game already feels kinda on the tease-y end so far for my taste.

Great game, hoping for improvements. Really enjoy the interspecies/alien element, maybe potential monsters and besti, too? The minigame is definitely the worst part of the game, it is not very fun and I find it tedious. Maybe if the minigame involved action with the female itself, that would be a whole other story. The dialogues aren't deep, but I really enjoy the biological/sex aspect of it, getting to know more about the girl and the alien.
