It's not abandonned. Jim is still working on it, sharing news on patreon and Discord. Yes, it's been a while since we didn't had an update, and yes, we're waiting for it. But it's being developped still, and won't be abandonned soon.

I've been trying to access his discord for a while but it never worked.
Is something wrong ? Could you give me a link ?

Free advice: If a game hasnt been updated in over 11 months verging on a year whilst the developer is constantly making excuses and pushing back deadlines then it is pretty safe to say either 1 of 2 things has happened. Either that developer has come to the conclusion that they cant or wont continue the project so they go into auto-pilot mode making false promises to keep support up AKA "Milk Mode" or 2 the developer has just abandoned the game entirely.

In this case its pretty obvious the developer can chime in when he feels anxiety from the consumer base piling up which is why at first he would always push the release dates back but its reached the point now where he doesnt even bother with updates.

"Ignorant doomsayers"....sorry buddy but if you are clinging to a phantom update you are a gullible sheep and why developers like this will always be able to make a bag because they count on blind obedience like yours to keep racking in dough.

Looks like we have to put up the "Abandoned" tag here again huh?

He even released a comic series which is a prequel to TD. While some devs make 50+k a month and still haven't updated their game in over a year, and when the update does show up it's only gonna be 20 mins of new content

Sure he stopped becouse people called him out how he pushed the update after every month for a year.If noone would call him out he would continued to do it besides its rpgmaker how can a game cant get a single update in a year? jimjim wants too much from this ancient engine and he puts meaningless stuff in the game constantly like a voiceactor for the main character and nobody else it feels like she talking to herself lol. the game is being developed for what now 5-6 years and we cant get past 0.10? whit this rate we gona reach 1.0 around what 2073? Look at Maelion guy made a game (CoL) 10 times more complex in rpgmaker works on 2 games 1 (cyberslayers) what is the main priority and the other in the back burner and still manages to make regular updates and this is just one example and he managed to do it in the time jimjim managed to get to 0.10 alpha.

its just incompetence at this point or he is just lazy as hell imo he should just focus on the comic stuff becouse this game really just too ambitious for him

Yeah you make valid points, personally I also think the voice acting for Tiffany is pointless along with skill tree system since you can't die to the mob mostly. I've been following the game since 2019 so it is frustrating that not even the prologue has been finished but what would complaining really do?

He won't finish it. This is the problem when you have a one person creator of a game that is far too much a perfectionist. He has 2 big flaws. One he doesn't trust anyone else to work on it. If he did, then we would have seen multiple updates since his last release. 2nd, as you said he's trying to hash out all these little details that he has to get into the game, on a game engine that is primitive and limited to what you are capable of doing. A 3rd would be he only works on this game part-time as I think he has a full-time job and other parts of his life that take priority(correct me if I'm wrong on this). If you can't devote enough time to creating an RPG game, then you will never finish it.

Personally, i feel like the Comics is what sidesteps the TD game into a corner and he works on it sometimes.

Because at this point. It takes far too long to make any new content and updates for TD. Now, if he makes updates take no more than a week after this version coming up, considering he understimated things, then that would be great. But i must voice my concern, since this has gone for very long, even if he has paused Subs. We are supposed to be invested and interested in TD. That slowly stops being the case as nothing progressed to retain our investment and interest. It is like stagnating the development.

I will stop there. I am saying these things. Out of worry and care for TD. I truly hope i am wrong and are delightfully surprised.

Same here, even when the subs are stopped. Just some comics are not enough. Beside of this, the Dev is the only RPGM Dev I know, that have issues with creating a working save.
See you in 202X when it's uploaded here and hopefully, I will remember this game again.

The last time i check this is a forum and the freedom of speech is still exist also why not ? So that people could vent their frustration and maybe warn others not to put money into this game in this curent state

I do not think that rendering and creating an animation panel every two weeks is a huge burden (no i am not an animator i am just basing myself on other content creators’s outputs). At the same time i believe that pretty much not releasing updates for 3 years it’s not cash money at all and will make ppl lose interest in the game

JimJim made giant mistake. Some dinky short comics should not have been his focus/selling point for a patreon page(It's a good indicator that his patreon page is barely holding on) when Terminal Desires game was the big selling point to build up the subs! When he had the game/game story reaching close to its peak, 3 to 4 big updates per year would have kept the interest of the game high. But it has been a nothing burger for years now(I honestly lost exact count) and now the Big Air Balloon is just fizzing away where sooner than later ppl will just forget the game and move on to others where the developer(s) have frequent updates. I just don't understand some creators out there that think they can just do it on their own and succeed. It takes a lot to come up with a story, characters, a game arc, game art/animation etc. to have a good continuous RPG game, let a lone even a Porn RPG Game! The characters were appealing to me, but the game developer couldn't keep up in bringing the game along!
