As strong as SSDs are they're not meant to be written on continuously. The more is written the shorter the lifespan. So a 100GB game is fine if you install it and leave it, but writing 20GB every time you launch a game is not very consumer friendly. Also might explain a lot of bugs for people who might have smaller OS disks and maybe have <20GB free space.

A solution would be to write on the game's root folder, not in AppData, and advise players to install on a HDD. And artificially claim 20 extra GB on the root folder upon install/first launch, to reserve it for loading animations. This so that if players fill up their HDD to >90% and run the game, it doesn't unknowingly shorten their HDD's lifespan.
It's not 20 GB, it's 5.5, and I still think you can't damage your SSD even if you open the game 5 times a day. I got my 5-year-old render-video SSDs that got millions of files changed in time with %97% health. If you have less than 20 GB on your SSD, it's bad, but again, it's not that important either.

You just talk about some very old stuff about SSDs a decade ago. The time passed.

For example, if you use any RAM-heavy program, it always uses the disk for temp files. My Photoshop files create 30 to 60 GB temp files every time I open them, even though I have 64 GB of RAM. With this old info, every professional video editor or PS user should change their SSDs yearly.

No, ofc I won't advise using an HDD, this would be so stupid.

Even so, we will look for a better solution if there is one. It may not be good if you try to use a new version, but I am not a coder, so we will see.

I'll put in my five kopecks then, too. First of all, almost all developers still write games for HDDs where SSD is purely recommended! And secondly, the C disk should contain only the OS and programs.Unless, of course, you want to clog up the system over time - to a complete mess!

Also, if the SSD drive is almost completely clogged! Some SSDs lose their speed very well at the same time! And it will turn out that the OS will be slower and the programs.

There will be many horses and even more tougher bulls in the game for sure. Just the main character won't change.
what about being able to bang Taweret? I'm sure I'm one of 1000s of people asking for that, but let me add to that chorus of pleas

Yeah, I cannot solve the black screen bug. I have no clue what all the advice is about making shorter folder names. I unzipped the game, I cut everything out of the deepest folder with the EXE into a new folder. Game does not work, regardless.

This is what the game folder looks like. Tell me exactly what to do to stop the game from just failing to work.

EDIT: I deleted the "debug information" folder since the thing has "do not ship" in the name, but no amount of renaming Tom_Data works, and I can't pull everything out of it since it's a required folder. This game just seems to have been launched in such a way that it's really, really finnicky to get it to progress beyond the intro, which is crazy for a build above 0.0.1

Shorter folder name"s"?... I don't know what you did, buddy, but there are plenty of people who can play it just fine. As I cannot be sure what and where you get the file, as it's not from me and I don't provide support for pirated materials, I can't help you but the game is working, even though there are some bugs here and there, the development continues with reports and fixes.

In explorer press alt+v and check 'Hidden Items' and show what
"C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\LocalLow\DragesAnimations\TOM" looks like.
And state CPU, RAM, GPU and storage space type, amount and usage.
Should be useful for the devs to learn from, regardless whether the game was sourced legitimately.
Buying the game and reporting the bug through the discord should motivate them to help you.

My two cents is that it's permission related, i.e. your user profile might not have access to AppData so core folders and files are not being created, but it might be more complex than that. Could also try searching for event viewer logs related to the game when you try to launch it.

Yeah I'm no longer trying to play it. 20gb all in all with the game and the appdata folder and it just doesn't proceed beyond the intro. A porn game that takes up more space than a third of the games in my steam library? No sir, not for me.

Any hero gonna grab us the new update~
Why do you wait for someone, a hero as you say, but not come to my Discord and just ask for it nicely? I already said many times here I share the game when asked. I just don't understand.
