I understand perfectly, and what's more, I agree. But your wish is too depressing. It's all about the order of the statements in the sentence — the last one has the greatest effect and is the most memorable. I would say it like this: "It's sad to see so many abandoned games on this site, I hope this one will be fine and will be completed. It's a great game, carry on!"

Hey hey! It's that time again!

As I alluded to last time about a scene I needed to add, that has now been written and rendered out! I have skipped over a scene for now as I'm waiting for an environment to be made, but as it currently stands, there are 3 scenes left for me to render out, plus the prologue. One of the scenes left is a stupidly long H-scene with a bunch of branches, so that's going to be fun!

Otherwise, nothing much else to report on. Things are going smoothly!

Oh, oh, the next set of sneak peeks should be soon, so stay excited for that!

HELLO.

How are you all doing? I'm just writing this because, well... You learn something new everyday.

Today I learnt that I suck.

For a year or more I've been battling with my characters not looking the best they could be, and it turns out it was due to shaders. For example; If I were to put a light behind a character, their eyes would glow. I hated it. And for every single angle change, animation, whatever, I would have to redesign my lighting so that the eyes would not glow. However, the engine wasn't the problem. It was me. (The engine is still the problem though.)
There were numerous other issues that I've just been putting off for far too long, but I've learnt and been shown how to do things actually right.

However, my lighting is still ass. That won't change. I know my limit haha.

Anyway, with these new shader issues resolved, I applied it all to all of my characters, and while I was there, I thought hey, why not spruce some of them up that need it visually. Sorta like the Morgana rework, but very much not as drastic. More color changes, 'lil tweaks here and there. That type of thing. The changes are minimal. A part from Daphne. The bubblegum nutcase.

I really didn't like how she looked. She looked basic, kinda ugly; kinda not very "crazy". So, I changed that. I had some help for Daphne from another developer who's releasing a game in the near FUTURE, RIGHT!? Chainz. Since I just couldn't get her how I wanted her, and he nailed it on the first try.

Remember; I suck.

So, big thank you for Chainz for the assist on that one.

Attached you'll see some examples of what's gone on, and I think you'll like it. Again, it's not very drastic apart from Daphne.
The images aren't fancy. They're just normal character editor images.

Gotta say they look impressive. Love the collars appearing. Will you be using these characters from next version, or are you going to look at reworking some of the older versions with them, if re-rendering the scenes doesnt take to much? If you re-render from the start I'll be more than happy to replay from the start! Looking forward to hear what you decide either way.

ARE YOU DOING OKAY?

Progress going good. I've completed another two scenes this development cycle. There are only 2 more remaining PLUS the prologue. One of the scenes left is a VERY long H-scene with many animations (I hate myself), so the progress will probably be slower percentage-wise as I work on that.

I still suck.

I keep mentioning the prologue, If you think it's going to be the same size as a normal update, you're mistaken. It's just a scene at the start of the game to explain a little bit about what's going on, why the MC wakes up in his bed (Being alive doesn't count) etc etc. It just smooths over the introduction and answers some questions.

The very last scene of 0.8 requires me to make a new map as well, shouldn't be too hard, I've made many maps this update already. Oh, if you haven't seen my previous post, go do that, it's quite interesting and I think you'll like it, I'll also add a little bit more onto it here. Everyone has had a shader upgrade, not just the ones I linked, However I did only just do it, so the majority of 0.8's content were still using the old shaders for the characters that 0.8 actually focus's on, so it'll be the same as it always was. The second batch of sneak peeks will be sent out during this development cycle too, so stay excited for that!

Nothing else to report, I'm good, projects good. I know it's taking a little longer than all the previous (But it still has only been 5 months and 2 weeks) BUT this update has many more animations in it than all of my previous. I envision it to probably be double and then some what my previous updates had. 25-35 on average I think. And with that, let's get to the statistics I've been doing recently. Do you like it? Do you not? Let me know.

This was very ramble-y, if it doesn't make sense, you're the issue.
