She's creepy as hell so the resentment makes sense to me.
She's a mad scientist. No boundaries(stalks you) and no ethics. Beyond what we know of her (like she drugged Morgana to be a sex slave (with the convenient caveat that ''she doesn't obey what she doesn't want to do on some level''), we also know her reputation and several characters (like David) are afraid/creeped out by her so we can assume she's done things to earn that reputation.
Some people want to explain everything away as drug reaction to a lab accident but her behavior was already ethically dubious as she was still developing that brainwashing sex drug for a sketch-y organization to begin with. That's like feeling bad for a bombmaker that was making bombs for terrorists and got blown up by his own bombs.

Downloaded this game on a lark last night just wanting to go through it, now I love it, and sticking with my younger roommate/younger sibling standard, Suzie's my #1, but Nova and Clarissa are right behind her along with Michelle, maybe even sharing that top spot. Perhaps even Esmee too. Sophia too. Damn, so many to choose from
On looks alone, Raya and Aiko, and it'll be interesting to see how Raya gets put in her place. It's a pretty fun game so far and the animations are really good and the cuteness/adorableness of certain characters like Clarissa and Esmee are perfect.
