Is there a cumulative changelog of whats been done since the last official build, because the current changelog of "v0.863 Added new npc's" doesn't really say what's been added (or is the only difference from the last official vers just a couple npc's being added in? Looks like it's more based on your comments.)

well, it depends of what version you already have. between 0.862 and 0.863 yes, only a few npc's in the hell region.
is where im working right now.
if you go back a bit more, there are more things and bug fixes. As far as i know, your save files should be compatible.
When you played.. Ikari was accessible? White tower in the north? the sewers of Dali? the underground pub in Carthage?

the abandoned quest in the adventurers guild was implemented?

it depends. there is a changelog with the game files, if you are interested.

the first bug report, about a crash.. it happened to me. I dont know where it comes from. I tried to restore the files on github from older versions. Theorically, now when i began to fix things, the game when i retook it its as it was around 16th april '23.
I did it so because back then in 2023 some people asked me to collaborate and i did a merge in github without enough testing.
I dont know the origin of the crash and i know that ive not caused it, because ive not messed up with the blitz code.
I dont know either how to fix it. but ... if you have detected that happens when you use the reset button (f12).. well, if i were you, i wouldnt use that button.

about the golden nugget in the orc's cave.. thats not a bug, is intentional. As far as i remember, you have enough nuggets around to make your quest. that one, where you can't reach, is there in purpose (if i remember correctly), so you know how it is, and that not because you want it or need it you can have it. you need to overcome that too and keep going.

lots of thanks for the bug reports though. i appreciate it. if you find more, make me know them, please.
And if you have any idea on how to fix that blitz-abs stuff.. I have no idea what causes it. I remember that one collaborator back then said that the day-night changing was annoying, and made an item that changes the day time as you wish. as far as i know this item is not included in this version.. but i dont remember exactly when that change took place.
when i modify something i always write it in the changelog. i say what i do and the related maps. if it was code, i would explain it too (i dont because i dont mess with that).
It seems that others that came and go didnt do the same. i dont know since when it happens. to me has only happened one single time.

did manage to narrow down where the problem start in the script, but i an by no mean an expert, but it should help figuring out the problem.

i think i have narrowed it down in the code and whit an quick search about Stakes to deep in RPG Maker games.

from what i understood the problem is that the game try to lode the same function the script multiple times up to an infinite amount of times or something, or conflicting scripts doing the same function...

did manage to narrow down where the problem start in the script, but i an by no mean an expert, but it should help figuring out the problem.

the problem is related to the map , or it is just a random map that happens to be there while you search within ABS?
as said..i prefer to not mess the ABS. i would need complete certainty before changing anything there.
But thanks. If at some moment i decide to try to fix it, this will be helpful.

The second screenshot is creating an alias for the function move_type_custom.

This is a function that already exists in the class Map_Battler through Game_Character. THe idea would be to create a new version of the same function that 'shadows' the previous one. This way, callers would call the new version without having to be updated and you could refer to the old version through the alias.

In this case though, since the function is obtained through inheritance, you could just refer to it through the 'super' keyword. But then again, this is far from being the only weird thing I'm seeing here.

Though, at a quick glance, the stack overflow does not seem to within move_type_custom itself - there are no recursive calls that should trigger this.

is for debugging, and testing, not for cheating. Yes, i moved it.

If you need for the formentioned purposes i can tell you where it is. Or you can find it and cheat, oc. but if you thing that the weapons/armors/enemies system is unbalanced (which it is) maybe you could help to fix it.

but the events that happen on that map (ghosts appearing and disappearing, an npc that speaks and is later turned into a ghost, ..) happen only on this map. i mean..whatever crashes the game in different places when pushing f12 should not be related to a map that is only accessible on later stages of the game and with events that only happen there.

I dont get how on the early game the restart function that can cause a crash in the game can be related with something so unrelated.

Also, the player is supposed to know how to use spells in that fase of the game. that changes the game mechanics.
