Whilst it's quite possible that some of the men who play this game are ignorant enough to view Tony's infidelities through blinkers, and consider that Anne is far worse than him. I don't believe for one minute that the Dev is one of them. And I don't believe he has any issue with the MC being cucked or viewed as a Beta male, because why then would he include those scenes where Anne invites to Tony to kiss her cum covered/filled mouth? There is so much NTR type content in this game, that only someone who was very comfortable with that, could have possibly written it. And if you aren't getting that, perhaps you're also viewing this game through blinkers as well?Let's be real here. This game is almost certainly made by a dude, for a largely dude audience; and that audience is gonna be way more forgiving to a fellow dude being an asshole in the name of getting pussy than they are to said author/audience-insert character being cucked.
Actually, I can't help but wonder if that's one of the big main issues. Maybe the author never really wanted to put NTR stuff into the game? The problem being that once they did it, they found out they didn't much like it themselves, but it also happened to be both popular and also accidently became the most interesting stuff in the story? Anne takes to all of the sharing stuff so easily, there's no real conflict or drama if you're doing a straight and honest swinging route. Things only get interesting by accident whenever Anne starts to be unfaithful, as that's the first real injection of conflict and making anything here actually engaging. Without the infidelity, the game's narrative is just a series of Anne bumping into someone, having sex with them, telling her husband while she jerks him off, they kiss each other and go to bed, repeat ad nauseam.
Again, this all ties back to how the game's largest deficiency is its writing, and that's precisely what has had little to no improvement across now 3 iterations of the same damn story.
It seems to me, you're one of these people who can't imagine any visual novel being interesting to people, if the writing isn't top notch. Most people who play these games couldn't care less about the writing because it's the visual fap content that really interests them, and the quality of writing comes a very poor second to the imagery. The biggest issue with this game is not the writing, it's that the Dev started it with no clear plan about where he wanted to go with it. He didn't know how it was going to end, and therefore it's no surprise that he got lost in the middle of it, and ended up flailing around aimlessly, losing all his initial passion for the project.
It appears he's now finally realised this, and hopefully is now working to a plan, which has a beginning, middle and ending. That was what was missing, and led to all the confusion that mired the first version of this project. Having a clearer vision going forward can only improve the writing, even if it never meets the impeccable standards that you seem to demand.
