You seem confuse the difference between influence and fault. or maybe you are hung up on the semantics, but in the case of betrayal, they matter. No one made Anne cheat, whether she was butt hurt or a slut she chose to, plain and simple. Having a reason to cheat does not put the responsibility on others, its always on the person who chose. When you break the rule for any reason and push blame on others for any reason its a cop out.

The biggest difference between them is you don't have the forced crossover of different paths. Also Tony has more say in who Anne can get together with. Now I can avoid Martin and Drake, unlike in TAC,

Less fan interfering in this one. The original one kinda went off the rails a bit, a soft reboot also didn't help either and by chapter 14, paths were crossed, plots were lost and it was generally a mess. There were a few things that seemed forced.

This one is generally learning by the mistakes of the first. Though it's not perfect by any means... Overall it's a better experience.

Tac focused only on the main story while in the reworked game , now players like you can try to find ways to get us divorced. But beware, already in Tacos there are premature game over exactly as it happens in CH14/ and CH15 S2.
This means that if you piss off Anne too much with your jealousy you will get a game-over.

And what improvement(s) do you propose?

Perhaps you would like to abolish the main course that sees me and my wife Anne united and completely in love with each other and willing to continue our plan to avoid our divorce?
