Ignore what players believed the game to be. Ignore all the obvious failures of the author to create a compelling story. When it comes to cheating and multiple partner sex acts, this game has something that few, if any, provide to the community.

It is frustrating. But I still play the game because what it does do well — the cheating wife — it does very well. The sex scenes are hot and vary enough to keep players interested. Although it is becoming mundane. Almost as if the author has made it his mission to see how many sex scenes and multiple partners he can include in one update.

It is not as if people here are burning torches and trying to lynch the author. They are just complaining about things that most of us also see as problems to differing degrees. Nothing wrong with complaining or wishing things were different. Everyone has an opinion. This is the place for sharing them.

And for those players, save the heartache and quit now. For MANY players, Anne has become unlikeable. The MC has become unlikeable. Those are major failures as an author. There is likely no way back to coherent storytelling. However, that opinion does not take away the fact there are other aspects of the game that remain playable and enjoyable.

Agreed. But I've been saying and posting about this particular failure since it happened. How long ago was that? It feels like years. I've never argued otherwise. It's one of the many, many core failures of this game.

We're here now, discussing a game that "accepted" Anne was an inherent cheater zillions of releases ago. So I feel like the discussion has moved on to the game as it exists. It's fine if someone prefers otherwise, but I'm looking at a game in which !) the husband has never done anything but cheat, 2) Anne cheats even if you play a game in which she won't, and 3) Anne having sex with as many people as possible is the core goal of the game. To play TAC any other way is to reject its premise.

There is likely no way back to coherent storytelling.

There isn't. This either ends in an endless repetition of the same activities (as we're playing now), or it ends in chaos and divorce. I think the latter was always the endpoint, and so I view the relentless stretching of the narrative as boring as hell. End it or change it. But no more of the same roller coaster. It's gotten tiresome.

There are true sources of story and conflict in the game. Dre, Martin, Ryan, I can't remember any of the MC's girlfriends, and so forth. A clever game would return to those conflicts.

What nobody who has been howling at the moon about this game seems to recognize is that Tony has wanted, from the very first frame of the game, all the things that are pissing them off. He has a thoroughbred filly and he wants to set her free and let her run. I don't know about you, but based on the choices in my playthrough they are both having a blast.
