After all, the point of her sleeping around in the first place is that it is the MC's kink for her to sleep with other men while he watches. Twice, during the course of the game so far, she has said that the only reason she does any of it is for HIS enjoyment and because she loves him. That is all bullshit as she sleeps with far more people than she ever tells the MC, she has relationships with these men (not just sex), and she all but says she is in love with three of the guys she is fucking.

Now, you could have a lesser definition of "cheating" and be possibly happy with the fact that she is sleeping with everyone and occasionally tells you about it. Where he and I differ on opinion is whether Anne is cheating or participating in the cuckold fantasy of the husband. For me, in order to be considered participating and faithful, she must include the husband by including him in the act, including him in choosing the men, and/or always telling him about every encounter without wanting a relationship with the random sex partner. Anne violates all of those rules (set up by the couple at the beginning) nearly every time she has sex, even if you do not choose the cheating path for her. She knows about (and given the right set of stats, will condone; otherwise, watch out) sex with Nicole, and there are a few more instances she knows about — the swingers' party, the woman who wants to cuckold her own husband, the cuckqueaning event at the club, probably other events I'm forgetting — but aside from that, the MC hides and/or lies about all his extracurricular sexual activities. Rather blatantly, in some cases (e.g. the waitresses). She complains about this a few times, and specifically asks him not to fuck his coworkers, but the MC's behavior isn't limited by her displeasure, only the player's choices. Even if she finds out that the MC had sex with Chloe, she's unhappy, but just kinda shrugs and doesn't bring it up again.

You're right, I don't agree with any of that. What matters are the terms of their arrangement. The MC is obviously turned on by Anne having sex with other guys and being able to watch, but he's almost never objected to hearing about it later (Kenny, Dre, Drake, and so many other examples), and there are instances — Mike and Anne "going to the bathroom" at the beach — where the MC (correctly) assumes that she had sex and seems completely at ease with it, even though she takes a while to tell him about it. The point is that prior knowledge, approval, and direct witness aren't part of their arrangement, and never have been. Even going back to Punta Cana, Anne's free to choose her own adventure on their final night (as is he) and all it does is excite him. The MC only objects when Anne attempts to hide something from him, as with Ryan.

So while there's still some cheating, mostly on the MC's part but occasionally (the doctor) on Anne's, most of what Anne does is within the guidelines they've set up, even if it's not revealed until "handjob story time" later in the week. Fairly typical cuckold stuff.

It is the perfect point of contention eager to become the plot twist of this story. We do not have to wait long! Both Anne and the MC immediately begin to break these "rules" and are given the opportunity to be honest with each other. Unfortunately, there is no follow-through from the author. So what has developed is Anne's runaway behavior of sleeping with everyone and getting angry if the MC objects, and an MC who consistently cheats on Anne with no consequences. The story quickly becomes stagnant and turns into typical porn at that point. Is that bad? No, the scenes are sexy and fun. But they quickly become boring and I found myself wondering how many people she has slept with rather than what will happen next.

So, I see where Segnbora sees this as just a simple story of cuckolding. I see it as lazy writing and a failure to follow through with the story and the plot devices the author worked hard to create in the beginning. Even the sex becomes mundane and Anne's behavior becomes irritating — especially after the cruise scene! What would elevate this visual novel to a great read would be some emotion and reason to continue. However, maybe it is the author's intent to just provide plentiful masturbation opportunities for the reader.

It'd be boring as hell (and since it's what's happening in the latter stages of the game, we know it risks being boring), but it'd be coherent.

Instead, we have all these kinda/sorta exceptions. She can fuck Martin despite her husband's objections, but then he can agree that it's fine. Same thing with Ryan. He can bang Chloe without consequence. All his coworkers, in fact. He never pays a price for overtly lying about the waitresses. He can screw Emma. (And she can have sex with his dad, again, just as Anne is, which is all kinds of fucked up.) He's able to get someone pregnant in both versions of the game, but will it ever really matter? Certainly that's not part of their arrangement...yet, to be honest, I doubt it'll ever come up again.

Right. Which is why I say that this is the only way to view the game in its current era. Anne gets railed by everyone with a dick, the MC does his own thing. You, I, and so many others had hopes that it'd be something more involved and complex, but it's just not.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I see all of it as lazy writing. That it's devolved into simple cuckolding makes me enjoy the game a lot less. As does the patently obvious narrative as it moves to delay any sort of conflict or progression. There was, in the middle of the game, some potential conflict...to the point that the MC and Anne could part ways. Right now, that seems so remote unless the player deliberately chooses to fight the core concept of the game. That Anne didn't get DPed on the boat, or with the cowboys, is just nuts. It's beyond time.

If all we're waiting for is another dick inside Anne, release after release, I fail to see how that's going to sustain interest forever. Yes, she can have sex with the known universe. But just being able to do it isn't that interesting.

All I was saying was that Anne's not behaving in a way that's ruining her husband's fetish by sexing first and confessing later. If anything, she's fulfilling it beyond his wildest dreams.
