Thought I'd let you guys know what's coming down the pipe.

The last week has been spent writing the primary ending to Wanton Cove (Rest assured, got a lot more content to explore still, including a minimum of three side stories within the setting. This is just completion of the primary narrative.) Finished it up earlier today and sent it out to testers a while ago. Next build should be out late next week and will include a little over 14k words of new content, new art, and six new endings to the game.

Only condition for that one should be the day count. Non-repeatable scene. 50% chance of it triggering each time you go to the waterfront.

Hope that helps. There are actually about half a dozen variants to the scene depending on your Taint level when it triggers as well.

Its been a very long road these last three years (Actually, its been a little more than that now) and it has been a true joy to have all of you along for the journey.

Wanton Cove started with a simple conversation. I asked what people would like to see for a game from me, and an erotic horror game came up in conversation. At the time, I thought to myself, "Eh, why not?" and in the coming days the setting took form and increasingly became an obsession that demanded its tale be told. What I bring to all of you today is not the end, but AN end. Wanton Cove was never intended to be a single linear story, it was intended to be a tangled web of intrigue. The ending(s) presented in this release are the conclusion to the primary story through the game, but there are still other mysteries to explore in this setting, and today we mark a significant milestone in a longer road.

Thank you to each and every one of you. For your support, your encouragement, your bug reports, and everything else. The Allure of Wanton Cove would not be what it is today without all of you.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying it! Must be your first time playing? If so, you've chosen a really good time to check the game out! This build completes the main narrative of the game, though there are side stories I still plan to tell within the game.

This is one of the best corruption genre choice+text erotica I've ever read. Anyone who didn't yet try and love a good lovecraftian c'thulu style erotica I highly recommend it. I already support the dev on Patreon and this dev posts progress reports just about every day. The game reaches full endings now, but I read about side stories about Azumi and her mother, maybe we can squeeze a little more out of it. Regardless, I promised I'd up my pledge if the next project is something like this, especially a sequel of some sorts. Doesn't even need to be about the same protagonist in my opinion, still, looking forward to what dev has in store besides Inheritance.

As for squeezing a bit more out of it. As of right now, we've got just a small number of small stories in the game, only one of any significant size (The primary tale through the game), that said, I've got about a dozen side stories planned, so long as people want to see more, I've got a LOT more planned for the setting.

The Allure of Wanton Cove is a dark tale of horror in the vein of HP Lovecraft and drawing from the same mythos.

You take on the part of a washed up former detective who could never let go of the last terrible case he worked. Content to drink himself to death, his former partner comes knocking, begging for help. Help he is loath to give, but when offered a tantalizing clue that could finally unravel the case that plagues his every waking thought, he accepts, having no idea that the truth he will find is infinitely more terrible than what already haunts him.

-Wrote new path in the primary ending of the game for male characters. Requires you to have been intimate with Azumi.

-Added a shortcut to sex scenes in the Cheat Menu. I'm sure I missed a few, but the bulk of that content should be there. If you see something I missed, be sure to let me know and I'll get it added to the game.

-Fixed a bug where you were not recognizing Mr Morichi at the start of the endgame.

-Fixed a bug where you and Azumi were not recognizing each other through the window of her room.

-Closed Tom inquiries after you learn his fate. (Sounds like a couple of things are still flapping in the breeze, still need to make another pass related to her content to shut off the rest of it.)

-Wrote one small ambient scene for the Barmaid's Daughter that triggers after you loose the old book.

No worries, I always provide a free version so anyone can enjoy my projects. Pledges pay the bills (Yes, I do this for a living now) but its always been more about sharing my work with people who will enjoy it.

Some scenes are rarer than others, its intentional. Some scenes are common enough that they start to feel like a normal part of the setting, others are rare enough that they are intended to strike the player as a little surprising even after everything they've seen within the setting.

I receive upwards of 12,000 downloads a WEEK through Patreon. It would seem there are a few people who would disagree with you.

Why aren't there any screencaps? Is this mostly just a text game?

The game is primarily text based, however there ARE about 40 images currently in the game. The overall size of the game is perhaps 10mb (Give or take) so it shouldn't take long to download if you wanted. And all of the art is stored within a folder with the game so you can browse the art if you would like.
