Perhaps you and others here haven't heard but there's been some positive news. Although WarmBeer was in a funk, he "recently rediscovered [his] love for making games" again, and with that there's going to be an update to this game fairly soon. Here's a quote from the dev from about half a week ago at the time of this post:

The update will contain (but not limited to):
-7 love interests, each with their own quests and activities! (and scenes ;D)
-A functional phone system (with hints and points and possible messages and phone calls)
-An explorable world with a complete day and night system!
-An engaging story with many mysteries to uncover!
-And much more!!!

WarmBeer seems really pumped about the new update and hopes everyone gives it a try.

The Apex Progress Update #58

As mentioned in the previous post, this one will cover everything about The Apex's new update (0.5) along with announcing its release date!

The update is on its last stretch before reaching the finish line! Currently I am just polishing things in the game before release along with testing for bugs and potential inconsistencies. I know it has been a long wait, but this update is definitely worth a try!

For anyone who is not caught up to speed, I will do a quick run down of things you can expect from the game since the last version:

• A complete rehaul to the art style! Every single character in the game has received a MASSIVE face-lift along with many cutscenes, locations and backgrounds! Things have never looked better!
• Improvements to the story structure! Thorough rewrites and changes have been made all for the better! Play the game and uncover the many mysteries the story holds...
• Many new plotlines and characters to meet and interact with and potentially romance! Some characters will have more content than others, but eventually everyone will have content
• A fully explorable world with a day-and-night system, with dynamic locations and schedules that changes accordingly! Certain locations might have "steamier" scenes
• An inventory system that allows you to collect items throughout the world that might be useful! (Comes with descriptions too!)
• A fully working phone system that allows you to message, call and view hints and stats for each character you come across with many improvements to come
• AUDIO! Fully implemented with unique SFXs and original music composed by me!
• Improved coding/programming! This process is still ongoing and will continuously be updated behind the scenes. It is always an important feature for faster updates!
• So much more! I honestly wish I remember every single change because there are A LOT

I know it has been a long journey to get here but I am so happy with the game's current state. Please give it a try even if you were always just a fan of my OTHER game, maybe you'll find something to like in this one! (If you're looking for a game where you can just turn on and wank within 10 minutes, then maybe avoid this one)

And since you're still here, I might as well give you the official release date! The update will drop on Saturday, the 7th of June! It will release as Early Access for ALL patrons from the very first day and then proceed to release to the public on Saturday the following week, 14th of June! Be here and try it out yourself!
