Does this have any plot connections to Kaiju Princess 1/2? Will I be lost without having played them?
EDIT: An in general, how does this relate to the "main" series? Why is this title differently instead of just being 2 and the new one being 3?

There are minor references (easter eggs), but overall the stories of the two games are independent, you can play either part in any order.

true, and here is my detailed insight and observation. you make a good strong point about Kaijus and their transformation capability. me being a fan of the Kaiju Princess games, playing the first game i started seeing Kaiju Princess do her transforming into a Kaiju throughout the story mode. the Kaijus as creatures have the ability to transform themselves into a larger size compared to their normal form. further liking the series of these games, i continued and played the next game which is The Arrogant Kaiju Princess and the Detective Servant. After exploring and scrutinizing the game's mechanics and looking at similarities of how the Kaiju transforms i saw the Kaiju's transformation make another appearance in this game as well. Lastly, the most recent game Kaiju Princess 2 also has situations where Kaiju Princess unleashes her transformed form into a large creature. the Kaiju Princess uses this transformed form as a protective measure to protect the male protagonist. knowing this concept i did find this very interesting and intriguing to me and throughout all of these games each felt like they were heir apparent and the games had similarities. however, my opinion i think the latest game Kaiju Princess 2 to me is the best game of the series mainly because the developers added the ability to do anal play within sexual scenes with the princess. having the ability to have anal play within sex scenes gave me more reason to play the game. honestly, there was more options to choose from for the sex sequences and the game felt more smooth and very well made. only was able to get all achievements of only Arrogant Kaiju Princess and Detective Servant and the second game, but really enjoyed playing the game though.

I do think that v1.08 has the same content as v1.07,means no new content on the new ver
That's right. Just translation and bug fixes. But that didn't stop two people from adding full saves. More full saves!

Because she is a princess she controls other kaijus and she can transform at will. She can also turn humans into kaijus. She did it to the MC you.
