Ren'Py - The Awakening [v0.4.5b] [SLim Games]

This game has really hot scenes, the textures are really good, many scenes with sexy and well detailed feet.

My only problem with this game is repeatable scenes, i hope there's more repeatable scenes, like asking the girls sex, blowjob, footjob etc.

Great art, animations, and scenes. Good variance in body types. Script was good.

Personalities seemed off somehow, like the actions didnt match the character.

I am not sure why, it just seemed mechanical, not sexy. I found myself smashing the left mouse button to get through scenes hoping the next one was better.

Diamond in the rough? Maybe I just wasnt in the mood?

The renders are beautiful but I find the actual story to be pretty poor.

Guy looses his memory and has to get it back, while doing sexy fun time with people to power a fairy or something. I mean it's original but I've played through the prologue and part of one of the girls storyline and it only really comes up once or so. It's not helped that the characters are idiots. The women fall into that niche of being basically brain dead who do anything the MC asks them to. There's a bit where a coffee shop is failing and one of the girls asks the MC for help. There is literally NOTHING to suggest the MC can help but hey, the story demands it so away we go. His thinking is to get the girl to dress up like a cat maid (cause that's obviously your go to when asked "how can I sell coffee") which is out there but ok I can get on board for the purpose of story. But the MC then realises the girl is missing the tail that came with the outfit and we find out she's not wearing the tail cause it's basically a buttplug. The girl, quite rightly says "hey I'm not wearing a butt plug ffs" and the MC response is "well you obviously don't want it to be successful" and she does it!! I mean what an absolute idiot.

It's also not helped with railroading. There's a scene where you're vacuuming a bedroom and find a pair of panties. Now your choices are rub one out with them, or put them back. If you put them back then you get caught and the only way to get affection points from the woman is to admit you were doing naughty things with them. That's... not great.

There's no apparent structure to the game either. It seems to have a day/night cycle but there's no hint to what day it is. You're apparently a school student but apart from the first day I've not actually been. That's not a bad thing as it may cut down on repetition but it feels weird.

Visually a lovely game but the story makes me roll my eyes too many times to be truly enjoyable.

Some character stories are locked behind progression of other characters. Renders or characters you may not like? Well this "sandbox" is linear. Just like in real life, you have to get a titjob from your mom to fuck the coffee girl. Now you're getting blown in an alley by a hooker. Who is this hooker? This is the second day out of my coma?

How are you paying voice artists when the dialogue and game are only 30% finished? People can get hit by a bus, it's a whole concept. Abort your game at some point in development and instead of scaling back or streamlining the project, you get more ambitious and greatly expand the scope?

I hate giving bad reviews to indie devs, but the same problems seem to crop up over and over, game after game. This has Star Citizen written all over it -- all the terrible practices and problems that plague this genre and so many crowd supported games. It shouldn't take you five to seven years to make your first game. You are making it too big, you will burn out.

The visuals are stunning, the sex scenes are smooth, offer sometimes different angels and the grade of details are just stunning.

The writing is quite weak. The MC is somewhat of an douche. No Character is really sympathetic. It's always clear that you are playing an porn game and not an game with porn. Stupid stuff happens all the time even if they don't make any sense, porn logic at full force.

The game also offers voice acting.

You should try the game, but don't expect an great story.

The visual representation in the game is absolutely gorgeous. The graphical quality is premium. Each character actually brings different character and therefore adds flavor to the story.

1 thing though; I'm not sure whether the game is trying to make 'corruption' into a preferece or a penalty. I speculate that the main character is making women into his 'lovers' rather than 'toys' or 'slaves.' So, corruption is used as a wrong-choice prevention mechanic, meaining it is discouraged, but then again it is encouraged at times. This sort of confuses me on what I can expect from the game in the future story-wise.

This game is just awesome, it doesnt make you waste any time at all. Mini games are fun, not complicated and not grindy at all. Story is fun hot and well written, it makes you laugh, have fun and sex and hot scenes are just great. It has that little fantasy point that not many games know how to make it interesting and fun. And about the graphics, this game is a 10/10, it is just like that, renders are perfectly done, in sex scenes you can change point of view and they are all animated. So this is the kind of game you must play in here if you want to have a good time. The developer IMO is worth to be supported, talent and hard work that not so often we find in here. See you on the next update for sure!

This is an easy to play game with little, if any, grind and a well done sandbox setup. The characters look great and have nice personalities. The animations have excellent physics, angles, and are very smooth. So why a 3?

This game has a bad habit of blue-balling the MC at almost every opportunity, which in turn blue-balls the player at every opportunity. Most of the H-scenes are denied a happy ending, interrupted, or have some lackluster boobjob, handjob, or maybe oral to ejaculation. Rarely does the MC get an ejaculation from a penetration scene. And that is why this game gets a 3, which would have been a 2, if not for the animations.

i just finished the prologue but wow, yall have mastered the Ren'Py engine ive never seen such a well polished, nice animation loops, good ui/colors/fonts, voice acting! the xray mechanic is cute, and idk how much extra work it is for you to render two scenes but just goes to show how much you care for super high production values and it can only get better (im sure the main game is even better!) only sad because i wish it was completed, i cant wait !!

Wonderful game, will great graphics and animation. Looking forward to how the story line will continue from here on out. Love the fact that there is a REDHEAD in this, do wish to see more of her or have the ability to do more with her like your room mate at night!!!

Nice overall, good scenes and some nice characters but it will benefit from more content I believe, and maybe a bit more of "uniqueness": I remember it being good but didn't really stick to my memory like other titles can.

loving the visual art and enjoying my 1st play through and the story is abit wacky but original i guess but importantly i like it and keeps me wanting to see more future content. Definitely one worth donating to.

The game is great. It got good story (maybe not original but still good), nice render, lovable characters and unique mechanics. But the progression of the game is worrying. There are many things that changed overtime and slow the story progression. It make the game stuck. Sure game change every update but many times it's a gameplay change. I hope that dev can build a steady core game and push the story furthur in a constant pace.

This game is unique because of the great voice acting in conjunction with great graphics, great physics, amazing story telling and the character models of the girls are very realistic. They aren't super weird and overly fake like the majority of games out there. Kudos to the creator. Keep up the great work!

Story: 8/10 Story is pretty good.
Visuals: 9/10 Renders are pretty good and the animations are well done.
Sounds: 9/10 Sounds really blend in with this game well.
Music: 10/10 Giving this a 10/10 just for the fact that different scenarios change the music.
Content: 6/10 There isn't much content to this game yet but I imagine if wouldn't with the amount of detail on the renders/animation.
NSFW: 5/10 IMO the NSFW content is a little lacking for this game, and it doesn't get past the "interested" stage for me.
Play-ability: 10/10 There have been some fixes with the UI that make this game a much better experience to play.

Overall: 7/10 I think this is a well made game, but not quite to the level of "adult game". If this is one person working on this project I applaud their effort.

+ Body diversity with your romance options
+ Story is interesting since the MC basically gets superpowers
+ Hint system, so you don't need to switch between an active walkthrough
+/- Mini games, which may not be your thing but I enjoyed them personally
- That voice acting. I mean not to be mean, since most of it is bearable but some of it is just cringe worthy

Overall a great game and I hope the devs continue to stay motivated to improve and finish this game. Since I know burnout is a thing and that real life can get in the way sometimes.

What so far is in the game is 5 Stars+ Content, Top renders + animations with multiple perspectives for every scene.
Beautiful characters with small and big boobs, Fairy's, Free Roam, Hint system and little to no grind (the mini games aren't that bad) .... this Game has it all

It is a fun game. Render is top quality but animations are top of the top. Game is kind of sandbox you can free roam so give you feel free. Girls are hot and story makes the environment interesting. Game has features like you can see through clothes with glasses.

Like the art. Models are good (hair's a bit wonky, normal for 3d), animations in both sex scenes and day-to-day GUI are very nice.

Writing voice is good. The plot layout needs polish; the different girls' routes seem to gate each other in weird and unintuitive ways and clash with the sandbox-y presentation of the game over all. Don't know if it's a nod to the Patreon rules but there's a 4th-wall lecture very early on that made me gnash my teeth a bit. I couldn't tell if it was tongue-in-cheek, just there for Teh Rulez, or what but anything that can even vaguely be interpreted as preachy or kinkshaming in a porn game is doubleplus ungood. Also the prologue still existing as a separate entity needing player confirmation is jarring.

I didn't run into any porn content that squicked me, and enjoyed what I found. Some of the secret bonus pictures are very intriguing and the hints at NTR are encouraging (as an NTR fan; reader results may vary).

Lots of potential, hope ya keep up the great work.
