The new version was sent to testers, we've been going through all the content, raised some bugs, and the devs are just working on fixing and polishing. Not sure what you guys are expecting to see here. Just wait, it's not that you're paying for getting anything in return

Still fixing the bug.
After revamping the entire game.
The game is much steadier than the old version.
But many code bugs still linger around.
Currently, fixing is a main priority and many of us give opinionson how to fix and how to improve combat in the future.
Some bud is very funnier...when the city guard is much worse than bandit in the map lol.

TBH after seeing that five streams - each probably 2 hours long - were showing the same scene being edited and animated? I'm not really surprised how long the update is taking.
One thing when working professionally is that you need to find a medium ground between quality and quantity. Otherwise this game still won't be finished before GTA IX and half the playerbase is old enough for a retirement home

I agree with what you say about quality and quantity. Tjop's style is hyperrealistic 2d art. And although it's beautiful, it takes a lot f time to draw one scene, let alone animate it. Personally, I'm happy to wait for high-end quality drawings and if the result pleases me, maybe starting supporting him again ''if he doesn't despair again''
PS: I asked him wtf dose Tjop mean, and apparently it means ''The joy of painting'' and if you look at his art it tracks.

"Sorry for the slow response. We collected a ton of feedback from the testing. Most of the code and visual bugs have been fixed, around 10% is left from the list, mostly of which is typos or minor bugs related to the combat. I rewrote and optimized most of the code in the forest area. From what I understood Tjop touched up some art and added some sprites and scenes for Helena. He's been sick for about a week now, very bad case of the flu. So I'm unsure when he's planning to stream again."

Okay so looking at the latest picarto stream, you can see the asset folder for Helena (protagonist's mother) and she only seems to have one "boobjob" scene.
So this is probably not the massive update you'd expected after 2+ years of work.

I don't think it's been 2+ years of work anyway as the dev took an extended break if I remember correctly. I don't know how big this update will be, if it ever does come out.
I also wouldn't expect him to show all the new content and assets in Picarto streams.
But I get the impression that with 2d artists making games, a lot of the time they're just too perfectionist and will just keep on redrawing assets over and over and will never be satisfied with their work, to the point that they never release new content in the end...
DC did the same with Summertime Saga even before the tech update which was initially a different issue.
He's now redoing the mum's story for the 4th or 5th time as he has redone a lot the art, to the point that his tech update will take years to release...
