Hi everyone,
As you know, Samantha and her dad are back at the same motel as last time. Sam’s in a super cheeky mood and dying to have some fun. Before going in, she told her dad they should pretend to be a couple, it’d be hilarious to mess with that gross guy. They could even act like she’s an escort and he’s her client. Will the prank get out of hand for our dear Samantha?

There are euros at ATMs in other places, I don't think it's Los Angeles and the American continent. The developer is Spanish, so it's definitely a European city, and not Italian, because Luigi, who is Italian, migrated there.

I don't know about the first game, but I saw the ATM and it shows Euros and the writing is in Spanish. The university has writing and signs in the same language, and all the cars drive on the left. I'd say we must be in a city in Spain.

Sure, I believe you (also, the steering wheel would be on the left, that's correct, but when looking at the cars, the steering wheel would therefore be to your right ).

To the topic itself, trying to pin down a city or country is a bit pointless though, as more likely than not, there's no specific thought put into deciding it will be Rome, or Paris, or Chicago, or anywhere else. It's more than likely just using whatever assets are available and ideally avoiding anything with non-Latin-script text (so no Japanese or Cyrillic lettering), and anything that resembles a specific real city is coincidental. In terms of currency, someone said the ATM had Euros, but the menu at Luigi's (from the preview in the OP) looks like it has prices listed in dollars.
