This game cycle was two months updates until now. Idk why this update is taking more time, more content or holidays I suppose.

my bet would be on the golden developing/patrons standards mentioned above.
why would any dev push for more when almost everyone else works "in more relaxed way", and it is going more than well?
sadly, yet it is more important for patrons to feel "included" (as with any other social platform/network) than to really get something of adequate value (games/updates related) for their support/money....to not go overly offtopic here, better to stop now

The dev has indicated that the next update will be on September 3rd for the public release, and that the delay was because he was busy doing the work required update - seems to have been more than they anticipated.

i suggest re-dl and re-extract with 7zip and try again.

So what exactly is new in 0.61? Can't go to Violet lips because it says to talk to Zoey. Zoey ain't home. Can't go anywhere else as every place is just empty.

Yes it 'appears' that there is no new content when you load from an old save. To get the new content you need to go back to a save before the quests 'Papers Please' and 'True Rulers', say to somewhere in quest 'The Key Ingredient', then fast forward until you are in 'your room' again, then go out and across the hall and talk to Zoey. At the end of the conversation you get the menu quest choices 'Go to the Violet Lips' or 'Visit the Moghilas'. Works fine after that ... I chose to 'Go to the Violet Lips' first ... Great update, thank you dev for all of your hard work and an excellent story.
