Please use AV1 instead of VP9 for your images and videos as it is more efficient and, in the case of Renpy at least, already supported.
For the videos I recommend to use av1an instead of ffmpeg as it is faster (There's a docker image ready to be used that works). With this method the video Window_Voyeur.webm weighted 15.5MB instead of 993MB (for the same quality, give or take) so a reduction of -98.44%.
For the images you can* use the avif extension instead of webp, for example the image Afterschool_Jones_1.png weighted 96,1KB instead of 2.98MB, so a reduction of -96.78%
