OH! I completely misunderstood ALL the arguing. People talked like this girl was the main reason for playing, so I assumed they meant the girl that had been in the story from the start, not someone added in later. God, this whole thing has been SO confusing. They look similar to me, because I saw people say "go play her other games then," and I was like, "but she was just blond, that doesn't help my punk hair kink." So I didn't look any deeper into the other games either. Good lord, ALL that fighting was over a tertiary side character?! o_O

I'm coming back after a long time. I never played Ep 8, because I came in and saw that "someone" was removed, and I mistakenly thought it was the sister. Then, another update happened, and my brain went, "CLICK ON PURPLE HAIR! Oh, it's THIS again." So, now that been set straight on who's who, I'm excited to catch up. Sounds like we're having other issues with development progress, but the part I cared about is in, so ... oh well?

our devotion to fiction is heightened as an emotional replacement due to our inability to retain hope for reality.

It's funny that I'm sure I will never find your replies like this when people worship and lose their shit over how much they love some game and characters to the extremes of mentally inadequate behavior, but if people react negatively to the dumbest shit that this dev pulled without even thinking, it's magically all just "fake characters" and "pixels" and "why people losing their shit reeeeeee" :KEK:

P.S. I strongly agree that death threats and other ugly shit were over the top and wrong (And all of it was from his own fans, and not us F95 users), but everything else from trolling to disrespect towards Dev's braindead decisions was 100% deserved.

But yeah, even if it had a lot of content, the story and dialogs pretty quickly turned out to be boring, utterly dumb and uninspired AF...

That's if the keeping you engaged part is working.

I primarily play novels for the writing and believable characters.
This one has been meandering for a while and the character progression hasn't been very believable.
The story pacing is off and doesn't feel like much is happening.

The art is quite good.
The writing and the characters are so-so.
I hope it improves because there is potential.
