Personally never liked that the development of the mother was based on sluttery. I kind of think that the serums options need a bit more development, perhaps like a skill tree?, you could have on one side the incest tree focusing on how much she can lust for you and your sister, on another the sluttery tree which would be quite a sex party and minor perks based on things like the misterious strapon or dominance and submission.
F12 for browser-devtools, console, type "SugarCube.State.active.variables" press enter, and explore the object for possible values.

Can you buy items like dildo, etc and use them on others?

Well most of the items it's to use them on your character, I think the only exception was the strange strapon and the collar which can be used on the mother.
All those items are to influence the transformations of the character if I remember right.
An example would be the chastity device that will push you to become a sissy.

As I have mentioned before, DO NOT use the MCS-X. Produce a dose for the achievement/stamina boost, but don't actually give it to anyone. There is a good reason why the associated achievement is a Bad End one, because each of the three options (two for sister, one for mother) ends badly. Be it sister becoming a pornstar and moving out or becoming a dog in mind, or mother becoming the town bicycle, using the MCS-X bad ends the character you give it to.

I couldn't find a walkthrough and didn't really feel like reading through all 50+ pages of this thread, so yeah, I didn't see you mentioning that before.
To be fair, the game gives some warning about extreme effects, but the fact that I was able to acquire MCS-X before the 2 and 3 variants of regular MCS made me think I'm supposed to use it to be able to progress.
That said, losing the sister wasn't the most annoying part, not really my type anyway. That I had to revisit the dogfucking almost every night in a dream sequence is what pissed me off.

I wish there was a way to only push her partway on the dog thing - like, her mind stays intact but her sexuality is totally reprogrammed.
I might have to ask Westane about this actually, might be something he'd be willing to add down the line

Don't worry... Tasha is gonna have a version 2.0 in which she is a trans and it will be expanded the serum options.
At the moment it seems the next expansion is chapter 3 + Sophie so... you will have to wait for a few things.

I'm thinking about trying this game, but first want to ask : can I avoid any kind of player's transformation in this game and keep his/her gender intact?

As far as I can tell, yes.
There's an intro sequence during the first few nights that allows you to adjust difficulty and turn off forced transformations. I had a couple of scenes that triggered a "you feel more effeminate/submissive" warning but nothing really happened besides losing some dominance. My guy was the studliest of all studs throughout the entire game.
Of course if you start wearing mini skirts and buttplugs you may turn into something else, but that's on you then.
