No, actually the polls were put up on Patreon for what content should come first in the John update. Dom John won it, by a landslide. The reason this update block has taken so long is because of development setbacks related to features Westane wanted to address that are parallel, like the new way of doing events in the game as written content instead of stamina minigames. So the whole "Dom John update" got stretched out beyond the original plans for it.

There has been no dramatic shift in game direction, updates can only focus on one thing at a time (regardless of whether that thing is your cup of tea or not)

The content that is being complained about is avoidable, its just that happens to also be the current focus.

Not paying monthly for a game is understandable but the point here is not that you are paying for the game but help fund the development of said game, in addition to being able to communicate the direction you want the game to head towards. If you dont want to "play roulette" then dont but that also means you have to take what is dumped on your plate at the rate that its dumped.

The john dom content does not change the overall narrative of the game as it stands just the minor interactions you have with other characters, whilst this content does not directly further the story it does open the game up to people who would like to play it in a different way.

Changing how a few systems work and simultaneously working on an update that was voted on by patreon is literally all that has happened. It kinda crazy to see how up in arms people are getting over this instead of skipping over this update and waiting for the next.

When the only new content your game has had in a year is for that one thing, tho... This is pretty much looking about as development hell-y as Free Cities, where all the systems the dev kept adding just made things worse.

Another blog update. Here is the TLDR

-Update may be delayed to April but Westane is still working on it. You will all know next week for sure
-Chanel is finally getting her ISS in the office alongside a separate one for Tasha AND Chanel.
-Chanel interactions outside the office
-Additional Chanel dialogue that alludes to the fact she used to be a man. Gender Bending dialogue!
-Escort System is getting expanded so if you are not on the Dom John route, you can still mess with it.

Additionally April and May should be the last John focused updates for the next 1-2 years. Starting in June Ava and Dakota will get the focus until Fall when Chapter 4 begins it's long awaited development. Those that have grown tired of John will not have to suffer much longer as the Ava And Dakota updates will change the game MASSIVELY!

I never thought I would write this, but this is the first game which I immensely enjoy every piece of content EXCEPT the NTR route, which is my favourite fetish alongside "corrupting tour family into debauchery". The Dom John route is boring, feels extremely disconnected, the scenes are bland, and the character himself is devoid of any charisma.

I would truly prefer an NTR route for anyone else rather than John.

all of the additional content is disconnected outside of minor changes to a few mc character dialogues, they dont (atm) affect the main story

I would add to this that it ends in forced feminization. I get that a lot of subs are into feminization, and while I like femdom mixed with NTR, I really don’t care for forced fem. Honestly that more than anything else kills the dom John route for me, and like a lot of other people, the dom player route for the family is appealing, but more or less unplayable until the updates that allow us to avoid sharing, while I’ve played the sub player route minus dom John to death.

I guess it depends on your likes and dislikes. Let me make a counter point to this and say from a female perspective, the Dom John route is my absolute favorite. John himself is a bit bland admittedly, but the step by step domination is extremely well done and deliciously nasty.

All the NTR (if you want to call it that) is a little disconnected due to the lack of emotional involvement, but what it does, it does really well... for me.
