Progress report
I’ve completed a scene with Jason and Gretchen that follows that particular path, along with some additional scenes that help introduce Part 6. I had hoped to finish more during this period but wasn’t able to get to it.
Until now, whenever the time between releases stretched beyond one month, I put the project into vacation mode. This meant pausing payments and preserving any remaining subscription days until a new release became available.
In the past, this approach caused a lot of confusion and misunderstandings. It also led to issues with the payment platform, which overdrafted some subscribers. Those problems are supposed to be resolved now.
Going forward, I will likely avoid using vacation mode except for when I am actually on vacation. If you prefer not to be charged during periods without updates, please unsubscribe or pause your payments manually.

Quick status update
Astrid is still staying with Jamal, but after returning one night he insists they sleep in the same bed. With everyone from Gretchen to her mother Nora having seemingly turned their backs on her, Astrid is left with few ways to proceed.
But can she really trust Jamal, or is he just trying to use her?
This part of the story will of course hinge on Astrid still being alive (not have been murdered over at Corey's house earlier in the story).

Quick update
I've been completing some scenes for the upcoming update, which will focus more on sexual content rather than story progression. As of now there will be three potential sex scenes planned:
Astrid/Jamal
Jason/Gretchen
Gretchen/Jamal
I know there is a general issue in the story when scenes are tied to different routes in the story, which can make it frustrating for players to explore all the content. I believe this problem is inherent in a Visual Novel of this size that allows for branching storylines. While I know many prefer having multiple options and being able to choose their own adventure, do some of you prefer the Kinetic Novel approach? In other words, having few or no branching paths? It's certainly too late to change now, but it would be interesting to know how you feel about it for future projects.
Like I stated previously, I will not be pausing payments going forward as it caused a lot of issues. Before, I typically paused payments whenever it took more than a month between releases, but subscribers will now need to pause their own payments if they want to time them with new releases.

Update ahead of coming release
Gretchen gets an unexpected visit from an old friend. But for how long can she keep up appearances in front of her son when things will only escalate from here on out?
I've completed the scenes for Gretchen/Jamal, Gretchen/Jason and Astrid/Jamal for the upcoming release but I still need to polish things around it to make sure things work properly and make it feel like a more complete release.
