Yeah, the primary influence is Fright Night. Chris Sarandon is just a fucking amazing vampire and I wanted to write a villain like that. However, there's going to be a lot of key differences and the title Crypt of Dracula is going to be more than just thematic. Good job on getting it!

Kind of. Mesmerism is a vampiric power and we've seen it present in vampire media since Bram Stoker wrote Dracula. I have no intention of having it lead to sex, since I very much despise rape, but seeing a vampire mesmerize a guy into jumping off a building or a woman so that he can enter her home or to eat somebody - it'd kind of be breaking tradition if I didn't do it.

I'm a stupid question, hypnosis is what vampires do most, most of the time it's to seduce and have sex with women, and that for me is like rape (I don't like rape), there's no way you can't implement it in the game

Sure I can, I just won't have him mesmerize a woman to fuck her. If he does, it'll be to take control of a situation or to kill somebody. For instance, in Marvel's Dracula comics (which inspired the name of this), Dracula uses his hypnotism to do everything but rape.

No, not at the moment. Perhaps in the future I could pull something off, but it doesn't work when the only relative the protagonist has is his mother and that's not happening.

It's not a matter of being afraid of Patreon, there's ways around that, it's just I don't see it as right for the story.

Like I've said elsewhere, yeah, I could magic my way into pulling off things. However, personally I'd prefer to take a more grounded approach to the storytelling here, kind of like the first few seasons of Supernatural. Sure, there's a lot of things that go bump in the night but making things that easy like he gets a magic ring feels very cheap and unearned.

However, if I do get to an ending where the main character is a vampire and it is very well received, then there is a good chance that I could do DLC to explore that ending.

As for a vampire female protagonist, I see potential in making her fully vampiric and not a vampire as well. But that all depends on this initial reception.

I what I mean by Main Character is male and female (If you decide to add female as well) both become vampire and do the things withou using their to eyes theyr life, hey will just do thing that common mortal does. But endig like that whe we end up as Vampire just to not do nothing leter one. I would really disapointe it becme just a DLC to play with on both male and female. But who am I to ask to play as vampire long the way and do things lke mortal does. they could spot something related to the sotry or something who talk about the character person they know or about the vampire that live next door. Male or female could start investigate and find something but they need a ring to go out at day.

One cannot just resume their life after they have died, I find that unearned and I'd have to write to them regaining part of their former lives and I'm not sure if that would work in this story.

For now, yeah, it's male protagonist but with people seeming invested in the idea of having a female protagonist. I'm thinking I will add a female perspective to the next release to the test the waters. So Day 3 might feature some of a female perspective.

If I were to add a female perspective, it would be shared like with Our Red String. I would not change the game so you choose who to follow, that would require a complete rewrite of what I've done so far and would not be worth the effort.
