Dev pussied out of last game because he expected lots of support for comparably little work.

He's not gonna get rich and famous off of porn games right away. The ones that do are either bitches who abandon their games but string their fans along promising updates but not delivering or are consistent with communication and releases and so develop a big community full of loyal supporters because the dev themselves are loyal to their games. Those types are few and far between though, I can only think of about 3 devs off the top of my head who are GOOD like that.

We'll see if this game follows the mess that was the last game's ending but judging by every other game following that same unfortunate series of events, I don't see a lot of hope for this one and someone needs to smack some sense into the dev or none of his games are gonna make it

To be evenhanded, Rebellion was fairly meaty overall, so it's not really fair to lump him in with those cash grab devs like the miztyl games or low effort ai slop.

Granted maybe he still had unreallistic expectations for growth, but IMO there are far better examples for scorn for this kind of behavior.

Sure but he abandoned the last game's future (It ended on a cliffhanger for a third game which we don't seem to be getting at this point) so doesn't seem to retain any loyalty to his games but to some strange idea he has that he'll make money off of it because regardless of how meaty it was, it was still only his second game. The good kinda dev I was talking about has several finished games, with no abandoned works because that's often what it takes to succeed in this industry

Meh, I thought I was polite when I made that comment. Idk how I could have been any nicer. Some people need a smack when they're being foolish and I have given Miztyl a piece of my mind before but it went completely ignored because he's an ass. When I give criticism, I always try to be constructive. But i'm never going to snog on any dev's asshole
