Considering one update took more than 3 years and I don't think it will end in just another update I'd say minimum 6 years or so, that is if the game doesn't get abandoned like a lot of games like this one do

Yeah it's probs not ending in just one another update, Rannero has said he's considering releasing in small updates. And he also has another game planned so he might try to finish this soon since only 1 major update (v0.9 -> v1.0) is left
