I should try my luck with the gift card. I've spent a huge amount of credit these last days. I'm Daz+ only though.

So, it's only 15% if Daz+ (so roughly a 50% increase) but you lose tokens? Note the +-6...

Did any of you lose tokens? I am about to pull the trigger...

Edit: Still had 8 tokens after purchase. Still freaked me out a bit though!
That's a bug. I've seen customers reporting it on the forums at Daz sometimes. One of the moderators there said today that Daz is working on it.

EDIT: I've taken so long to build my huge order that at the beginning I was getting a 15% discount for the gift card (thanks to the pricing error that Schlongborn commented here, which was still working at that moment), but when I finally had my cart complete and made the order the GC price was fixed. :( So in the end it got only the per sale announced 10% discount. Still better than no discount at all, though.

Maybe there was a good reason in this specific case for a huge order including a gift card, but just in case, FYI, you generally don't want to do huge orders with GCs, just the minimum additional products needed to get the deal plus the GC.

Buying with store credit effectively gives you the GC discount that you bought the credit with, on top of whatever discount you can wrangle in the order. (If you buy a $100 GC for $80, then next time you shop you spend $100 of store credit, that credit only cost you $80, effectively a 20% discount that stacks with EVERY other deal.)

You can't buy gift cards with store credit, so anything you buy in the same order as a gift card is going to NOT have any gift card discount applied. You typically want to minimize the number of things you buy without any gift-card-discount applied, so you want to avoid buying stuff in the same order as a gift card, since that's going to be gift-card-discountless.

Even if you have no store credit left, the normal thing is to buy the gift card (plus whatever is needed to get the discount), then redeem it and immediately turn around and buy everything else.

There are exceptions, like if the deal that gets you the gift card discount gets you discounts on other stuff, and you can't arrange to do the same deal a second time separately or it would be too expensive, but it's a strong rule of thumb.

Oh boy. Now I feel really dumb. The thing is that this is not my first time buying a gift card at all. In practically all my previous GCs purchases I effectively bought the bare minimum necessary to get the card. Although truth be said, that was probably because I never found anything interesting enough to include it in the order together with the GC. But this time there were so many products that interested me that I lost it. LOL

Anyway, thanks for the heads up. Hopefully, next time I buy a GC, I'll be watchful to buy the bare minimum to get it.

Don't feel too bad. I spent thousands of dollars at daz3d without any using gift cards at all before I realized.
I relate to that. Also spent quite a lot of money before discovering the benefits of buying gift cards on sale. I guess that must be part of the learning process for the majority of new customers. :D

It was really nice to NOT have to worry about the Daz3D.com sale yesterday. I was able to focus on my current modding project all day.

I did check the lightning deals occasionally, but without any notable discount stacking, yeah that was a hard pass.

I could live with a few weeks of 'meh' sales, so that I can stay focused on other stuff!

Today's Daz3D.com's Glitch

Maybe it's just me reading it wrong; but, the "50% off 3 or more" stopped after 3 ...
with 8 Tokens it was showing 75%* off the first three and only 71%* off subsequent ones, and none of them were DAZ Originals so the stack should be 30%, 50%, 30% = 75,50%

* DAZ arithmetic

I mean, it wouldn't be the first time the sales do not work fine. As someone who daily skims through , it's really rare the day when there is no some report indicating that something is not working as intended on the sales. There's always some mod watching and reporting quickly back to Daz. Then a bit later that same mod often reports back with the good news that the error has been fixed. And as I said, that's the pretty common occurrence.

EDIT: By the way, judging by the few last comments on that thread, it seems that there are still issues with today's sale at this moment. Let's hope that tomorrow everything works better.
