Hey,

I'm building a cart with lots of Daz+ products, and since they included Daz+ products among the featured artists sections of the sale recently, I'm finding the prices of these Daz+ items quite all right overall. In my current cart, the average price for each of the items in it is $1.15, which is not bad at all. Of course, that is with 3 concurrent conditions in place: the higher discount in featured artists products for having a debut new or still new release in the cart, the extra 40% Off for owning or having in the cart a Daz+ for a day product and, last but not least, 8 tokens applied. Also, I've been Premier for a while now, so I believe that would also add a little extra on top of all, but not too much, I think.

Went ahead and grabbed a Daz3D.com gift card to recharge my store credit with again The birthday cake debut new is something I'll actually use, so no regrets!

'Cuz, you know, hot babes jump out of cakes sometimes! Also, this was one of the cheapest debut new releases at $11.89 sooo as far as gift cards prereqs go...

Of course, now I'll need to pick a different debut new if I want to do the rest of the sale (so that the 20% off store credit balance applies), so par for the course.

Assuming your all content creators(game , comic , pin up etc) or just creators. How do you evaluate and or make asset purchases based on the sale or just in general?

Whilst I haven’t published anything yet, I have a few AVN ideas in mind and one offering that is just waiting for me to hone my graphic and animation skills.

With this in mind, I select assets based on what would fit the stories, and my own predilections; so I evaluate assets based on what aligns with my imagining of them. Key aspects are Characters, Environments and Props.

There is a surfeit of Characters available, mostly female, the criteria I use when choosing them focuses on the product’s unique offerings such as skin and embellishments (predominantly complexion, tattoos and flaws) that could be kit-bashed to make them unique and not too cliched. Having said that, my current work in progress is based on an established set of actors so there is not much leeway for altering the principle protagonists.

Kit-bashing potential plays a big part in choosing Environments and Props; there are so many published AVN which share the same assets making the ‘world’ seem very familiar and small.

However, the overall criteria is price, whilst not wishing to deny the Published Artists a fair recompense for their excellent work I suspect that the ‘Stores’ apply a hefty mark up so I set myself an average price per asset in my cart, based on historic prices (Daz Deals Pro provides this for Daz3D) and a medium (ideal) and maximum price, the bugger is that there will always be a future deal that offers them at a lower price — Oh Hum!.

Discount maximisation and ‘Cart Jenga’ plays a big part in my purchases, I prefer bundles to individual assets because of the implicit added discount and the accessories included are designed for the principal asset reducing any extra effort in their application, also for the variety they add to my inventory; although I am not averse to acquiring an unbundled item if the bulk of the bundle does not fit the above criteria.

I have a big list of ideas for things I want to work on, and a smaller list of specific things I need for things I'm actively working on now (usually wishlisted). When something relevant to the big list of ideas comes up for cheap money I'll snap it up. I try to be as economical as possible (and sometimes can make use of wishlist sales but not usually). But if I come upon something and I need an asset, welp, I gotta get the asset.

Just noting the new batch of freebies over at Daz3D.com, this being the mid-point of the month and all...

Over at Renderosity, more of the usual, including this sale that changes the item selection daily Mon-Thurs (60% off if Prime).

You're too late! Jumbi already posted that one.
That thread fell off of my notifications again apparently. Hence it looks like I missed out on a freebie or two. The F95Zone back end is annoying that way sometimes...

And yet, I still get notifications for a few threads that I've moved on from. I try not to 'follow the notification link' for such threads to get the backend to 'un-notify' that thread for me, but it doesn't always work.

It's particularly annoying when your own thread falls off of your notiifcations, which is why it's helpful when you invoke the forum username in replies 'just in case' if you are trying to get their attention. Quoting helps too...

---

This weekend is a 'catch up' sale over at Daz3D.com (more of the same for the sale), which supposedly involves all PA stores, in case some of you were looking for an excuse to buy stuff...

Just noting that there's a huge Genesis 8 60% off sale over at Renderosity. Somewhere around 3300 products are included in this sale. Might be worth checking out. particularly if you haven't fired off your 20% off monthly Prime coupon...

Could be a nice excuse to grab some G8 Renderosity stuff that you may have been putting off, if you are so inclined.

As usual, there are other sales running concurrently of course!

I didn't notice any Sunday freebies this time over at Renderosity when checking the deals just now (feel free to post up if I missed anything). I personally like to post the 'limited time' freebies here as to not clutter up the Free Stuff for Daz3D thread with even more of my posts, plus other people may not be checking the Freebies thread regularly, but that's just me. Plus it gives other people excuses to post such things in the Freebies thread. Still a shame that ShareCG went away. At some point someone is going to have to remove all of the ShareCG links from PoserDazFreebies...

Super sales at the Dreamlight store
All chars (by 3DLoki and Warloc) are at $0.99, and the hdri (by Dreamlight) are at $1.99
The chars are also at rendo and if you intend to buy some of them, the Dreamlight prices are clearly unbeatable!
I suspect that this permanent as every time I look, the discounts are higher, but who knows?

If you get enthousiastic like me, careful to check the cart well before getting out, or you may end up with bundles that overlap and items that are more than once in the cart (it does not check for that kind of things, and when you put something in the cart, it shows "adding to cart", but then reverts to normal visualisation, does not say "already in cart").
You can still end up easily with a one hundred+ USD cart, but with lots of nice stuff - I have to try, but I suspect the video background parts can be used even in video software :)

P.S. Edit. It turns out that shop is apparently a one-man show, who is also the author of the video and backgrounds, so, one can get at the same time the discounts, and the good feeling of helping out a single artist/creator, rather than a corporate structure.
