- This is a grim game - by design it will be hard and you will not do well on your first try.
- The ending of your game is largely affected by time limitations.
- It is intended for you to play it multiple times in New Game+ to get all endings.
If you are having a hard time with a boss - just go back and farm money to upgrade your equipment. As mentioned before - this will waste your time and affect your ending but it is intended to be like that.

Are you talking about the torches? You can light torches with the fire magic (Q and E to select and Z to use), the boomerang can activate levers from far away, and the hookshot to move across gaps.
Extract to \www\save game folder
This save is:
- new game+ gear
- True ending
- all maidens saved
- house + all young NPCs and their quests
- underground brothel is NOT filled.
FYI From the top of my mind, there are the following possible endings:
Bad (all maidens zombified)
True (all maidens saved)
Rogue ending (all maidens made prostitutes)

How many days do you have to save a maiden once you hit the floor of the associated maiden? I beat the level 5 boss, entered level 6, went to restock items, noticed one of the chicks was missing, then saved and came here lol because time restriction games are stressful for me.

Treasure Hunter (former Silver Eagle Order Garrison)
Day 1-2(restrained) Rescue -> Waiting (inn for sex) *disappears from the inn after the Kraken(boss 3) is defeated.
Day 3-4(dying) Rescue -> Whore (brothel - night) *If raped on days(1-2), does not become a whore.
Day 5-6(dying) Rescue -> Slave (Market - morning)
Day 7- (zombi) Defeat -> Dead explorer (enemy)
Layer 2
Adventurer (Forgotten Prison)
Day 1-4(druged) Rescue -> Waiting (inn for sex) *disappears from the inn after the dragon (boss 4) is defeated.
Day 5-6(raped) Rescue -> whore (brothel)
Day 7-8(dying) Rescue -> Slaves (Market)
Day 9- (zombi) Defeat -> Dead adventurer (enemy)

Layer 5
The saint.
Normal route:
Day 1-11(raped) - Rescue -> After the ending, prostitute (brothel)
Day 12-15(dying) - Rescue -> After the ending, slave (market)
Day 16(zombi) - Defeat -> Dead saint (enemy) * After the ending, she is put the basement
To rescue the saint for real and get true ending (true final boss fight, too), you need to rescue all other heroines in time, so that they're in the inn.
So, essentially, you have 2 ingame days per layer.
And there are no characters outside dungeon with time limit.
If you mean save before she gets raped by the bandits, you need to be on the True Route. To do that you have to save all the previous girls in the dungeon before they get raped too. Each girl has a day limit to be saved too (you get more time for the later girls). The last girl you need to save (chronologically) is the mage, which needs to be done by day 9 before she gets raped.
