Don't think there's any news. But on patreon there's the monthly wallpaper poll, when a new development update does appear it'll probably get posted here pretty quickly. It has only been a few days since 0.04.1 came out though.
I believe in Hopes Gaming ... while waiting ... i will watch game of throne season 8 ... haha cant wait for the rescue mission ...
I played this game in January and I love it. I know theres a new update out but I dont wanna play it. There are many new, unfinished games that have great reviews but Im not touching them till theyre finished. It sucks because once a new update comes out, I forget what happened upto that moment. And the feelings or the, u know, the train of thought/moment you had going ends when the game ends. After a few months, obviously its not there. So Im trying my best to wait longer till theres enough new content (I do this with tv shows too, end up binge watching all the shows after waiting months).
I love the story and everything so far. Im happy its not instant sex. I started playing these adult games past November (Im new to this). I have played Big Brother and I liked it because even though there was so much grind, you slowly increased in bases with the women. You had to work and invest time to get there, so the sex scenes were so much more special. I just hope the scenes are really good when they do come. Also, are they going to be animated? Now-a-days if a game doesnt have animated sex scenes, I sorta dont bother with it. Although this game is an exception, I would really hope you put a lot of effort into making smooth animations (not just 2 images stuck on repeat).
Also, I know this is a small insignificant thing, but please no holding sideways weapons. If you are going for a respected, well educated family, no funny business like that. Although it does show that she is young and hasnt learned proper technique perhaps?
I love this game, I hope you keep at it. Is there an ETA on how long this game will take to finish? An year from now? I didnt know these art/still images took so long to make.

I have a feeling the crazy girl is gonna kill another clan member, which is gonna start a war and the only way to stop it is, as an apology, is the put a bullet in her head in front of the other clan. You will be tasked to do that. It will be your final task before being promoted to the high level.

Sadly, that is how it is playing a work in progress game.
As this is not episodic but rather getting access to a game being made. These are some of the drawbacks.

Depends on who the person is. High ups (such as Cordia, Antonio, etc) will not but people such as Luna who is a bit more *free spirited* will not care how she will hold it. Granted she cares about efficiency.

No Eta's as I do not know how long it will take to finish. This is not a project started by a big studio with publishers waiting. But rather one guy who decided to do this as a hobby and making enough to change to full time.

At the start of the adult marked it was different. A lot of it was done fast (able to make update per month).
Make a porn script in 2-6 days. Use ready-made poses and simple light sources and press render. This can take from a couple minutes to a couple of hours.
But as time passes the players demanded quality in all expect of the games.
So, ironically enough, due to the players themselves wishing for quality the time per update increases.
A render needs to be *made* first. This depends on the scene of course. So everything between 1 hour to 1 day (rarely it takes a full day but some rare scenes do take a lot of time to set up and can even exceed 1 day).
When you have made the scene you press the render. Which can take 1-2 hours on average. The high scene stuff can take more.
Now imagine doing 100's of different renders per update.
The script takes alone around 2 weeks (can even add 1-2 weeks if it very heavy on the story) as people now want a good quality script such as story, character development, etc.
Renders now need to be quality renders. Proper lighting, composition, and quality so no grains. This adds a lot to the time too.
Then to add- music, coding, animations (a 3-sec loop can take 10's of hours to render), PS after work and so on.
The demand for quality has increased the time it takes for updates to be done. Like you yourself said, "if a game doesn't have animated sex scenes, I sorta don't bother with it."
This is just one part of the quality increases people demand. Animation, better quality, top script, Unique music, etc.

So, I just gotta say, I love Gottardo (sorry if I messed up the spelling). Normally, other male characters in adult games are worthless and only serve to undermine the MC. But, man is this dude funny! And the shit he gives Luna, or Lulu, had me literally laughing out loud. Also, he never gives off the vibe of trying to undermine the MC (i.e.- romance the girls), because he is like an uncle to them. Just a great character all around. Well done, HopesGaming!

As the game will show flashbacks and talks about the past, there won't be a full-fledged story section dedicated to it. As Cordia mentioned during the park scene- their stories are something of the past.
This is about MC and the new generation.
So, could be a fun full prequel or small standalone (for the lore loving people).
Problems would be who to make the main character.
Cordia would be hard as this is the adult marked. And if Cordia is the MC there will be a demand for lots of sex with her with as many males as possible and all the other things a female protag game is almost required of.
That would not fit with her personality or backstory. And making it pure story game (with some few sex scene here and there) would probably anger a lot of people.
But there is a while before such decisions are needed. Perhaps it will simply be DeLuca 2 with a time skip. Or maybe a whole new IP. Have tons of fun ideas with very different settings.
So one last thing for the evening (these thoughts keep coming up as I play the game). I am sure I am not alone in this, but maybe I am. I really want to get with Cordia. I know it is probably a deathwish, but man there is just something about her. It's not just the fact that she's hot, but I think it's the whole challenge of it. Winning over the head of a major crime family, woof, talk about playing with a bag of dynamite strapped to a nuclear bomb. But, man what a thrill it would be to win her heart and eventually bed her. Alright done with my crazy rambling posts tonight.
