If the model creator did not mention any specific license and/or is not very clear about the usage right, your first assumption is the safest in my opinion; in addition to all the complexities CookieMonster666 mentioned.

Started this last night and played right through the available content. Was not disheartened at all that there wasn't much lewd content. Great characters and plot that leaves you wanting more. Can't say I liked one story part over the other since they were great. I know the 'mother' issue is being played out but can't wait to see what's that all about. Would join the patreon ASAP but my timing belt gave me the finger last week so that'll have to to wait till next month.

I think that's a smart choice. Several devs burned themselves out by trying to please too many people.
To be honest, I kinda like the "going on the missions" mechanic and wish you'd expand on that at some point in the future. I think you can go up to rank 10 and "elite soldato" is your denomination, and I wish there was something story-wise to acknowledge your rank growth later on at every stage. Expanded missions with bits of story attached would be great as well.
