It should. You check the recordings in Luna's room. Then you WAIT a couple of days, afterwards head to your room at noon or afternoon. You still have to wait 2-3 days after you check the recordings (in which she talks about your promise).

It appears that Luna's event is broken for me. I've checked the hidden recordings (none appear for me and I don't know if that's how it's supposed to be) and I've waited several days and either relaxed or worked to try and trigger the event. Nothing happens. Is there something I'm missing?
