If you've played through it it changes the story and builds on top of it. The beginning till the point where she grabbed his weapon is the same but then the OVA and the webnovel drift apart.

No, they always find pointless excuses... the game is the same as the OVA, but it ends exactly where the OVA ends, except it shows a scene of the mother sleeping and that's it. It would have simply started from the explosion and these 900MB of new story.

I mean fair enough you're not wrong, I assumed that this is where the development would continue essentially. But I don't really know, as far as quality goes I agree with you watching the OVA is a better experience, just depends whether the dev builds on top of the story now.

Since they only copied the OVA, that's why the novel lasts about 20 minutes, but knowing how everyone who makes eroge games works, each update is possibly 2 minutes long with 2 videos

The presentation matters. The scenes here are presented in a much more detailed way(both graphically/visually and narratively) which makes the whole thing hotter.

Being honest, old hentai doesn't do it for me anymore(with very few exceptions) while this on the other hand...
