Mere verbal promises are not worth much nowadays. I think it is time to move to the system: "no version updates = no progress"
So I'm fairly sure the dev is no longer among the living. They seemed to be fairly active up until a point where they just drop of the face of the earth. Shame since there project dies with them.
Makes you wonder how many games have this same story because that's the thing with inde game. If something happens to them and they have no one personal knows about it then the game simply dies with them.
This one honestly saddens me more them most others since this is one of the few games that took the feral niche route and them games really fucking rare beyond the bore of random chick 10,000 getting railed by a monster that beat her.
