hi, Griffon222

That is an edited version (de-censored art) of the old, fan-translated, Wolf-RPG version. The download is the full game: un-zip and play (Japanese locale needed, I think)

or what was the question?

Great game made in 2014 and I only get to enjoy it 10 years later? ...story of my life

Just beat the hard mode with true ending (didn't get them on normal due to lack of knowledge) and boy, I sobbed hard at the ending as I say goodbye to this game. I'd love to vote 5/5 but my engrish aren't good enough to write a well constructed positive review.

Thank you for this. Best 20h of time I ever spend.
...altho I'm super late but better late than never *sob*

To those who just started playing, try your best not refer to the guide unless you're at risk of being frustrated and on begin to lose your joy playing.

I am mildly confused by the guide, on B7F it says that you need to open two yellow doors, but there are 3, is this a typo? Or is the guide now invalid for some reason? Thats a whole extra key you're burning on that stage that the guides not taking into account.
I'm sure you're already figure it out by now. Also the guide might not suitable for hard mode. On hard, basically you do all the same on normal for the first two levels except be very extra careful on how you spend your gold and HP. I had to reload way back to forest area after realized I'm already checkmated around east map. Graveyard are brutal on hard! Doing it wrong you'll end up short of gold/HP for the future of the levels.

Do not know if you have noticed, but there is a sequel to this game. You may spend more time with it if you want XD

Theres a remake of this game upcoming but man idk what to think.
I didnt know that a remake meant all characters became 10 years older and with a worse artstyle.

There was already the problem way back where the official dlsite tl of the original had a bunch of cut scenes in comparison with the original fan translation + the unfurred nekomata.
And now we get a remake will most likely suffer from the same cut content (if dlsite is the one putting their hands on the remake) and characters that look old enough to be in a sequel not a remake.

Reading your comment had me full of surprises. I never noticed it was 10 years old, I played in 2019 when it came out and thought that was the release year. Also surprised you managed to beat the game on hard and you're so casual about it lmao, I love the game but never even managed to beat it without cheats even on normal.
Also surprised to know it has a sequel, and a weird thing I noticed is how the sequel was uploaded to F95 before the prequel, 4 days earlier. No idea how I missed that. Gonna play it soon and hope it's not as hard as the first one.

what exactly is the difference between the official version and the 'fan translation' version? and the uncensor linked on the main post is for the official version right? or does that work for both of them?
edit: wait, is that decensor a decensor VERSION, not a decensor PATCH?

the original WolfRPG / fantranslated version:
- maps look better
- characters look better. eg. for incomprehensible reasons they completely shaved the catgirl character. other characters also look worse.
(for similarly incomprehensible reasons, all preview pictures were exchanged to be ugly rpgm-version pictures)
- has more text. (I estimate it to be 15-20%. Less text = less pay for translation) they even cut some little gameplay.
- has excellent translation/ English. The humour transports well, characters are likeable, etc. etc.
- WolfRPG has better gamepad integration.

- oh, and they inserted some mistake into the official version (rpgm), a map in normal mode now partly is like it is supposed to be in hard mode (B7F) - maybe they fixed that later, maybe not.

the uncensor patch: it is written right there: UNOFFICIAL UNCENSORED
(official English / international version should never have been censored)

Gonna play it [Flore Hades] soon and hope it's not as hard as the first one.
errm, nope, it is easier in normal mode. Overall not as good as Luluu Farea, but still has its moments.
Hard mode is incredibly messy and annoying.

It's been too long for me to really remember the difficulty of hard mode to compare, but it was fun. I'd like to correct my opinion on the art, the loli's are aged up (I don't think it's even intentional the artist just seems incapable of drawing them well), but the promo art is very unflattering compared to the rest of the game. I still prefer the old art but it's not bad.

hi,

please tell what the remake gameplay is like - is it still the same maps / layouts? So anyone who played an older version finds no new challenge?

Back when there was nothing but the oldest version of Luluu Farea I dreamt/wished a modder would come up with a new-map-pack to insert. So the same game, just the puzzle-part be new.

and "hell" mode? in the old game "hard mode" was mainly just reducing money, so you could buy stuff only (much) later, when it no longer made progressing smoothe, just possible at all.
So not really enjoyable beyond "hell, yeah! did it!"
Is this new(?) hell mode same-ish?

It's hard for me to really tell what they changed it's been nearly a decade. Some portions were cut out, I recall a quest where you backtracked in the original to certain floors like the hourglass shaped map, maybe for the treasure map? Gone. Some floor layouts are very slightly changed but does not change the gameplay in any way, I think some goddess fragments are gone early on to raise difficulty too. Some tricks like using potions in between the final boss fight is removed. the scoring system evaluation is also simplified.

While there's no mods, WWA the system the game uses is a genre stemmed from "Tower of the Sorcerer", there are plenty of H games that use the same system on DLSite such as RJ188541 and RJ01189948. they're almost all female protaganist, not my cup of tea.

ah, yes, those changes/ cuts were already made with the first rpgm remake. So no reason for me to play the newest remake, then. :-|

and thank you for those, gonna look into that.
(there's also The Hero Trial, but it is purely puzzle, no story, no characters, much shorter, albeit difficult in the beginning. hard mode is baffling.)
