I don't understand why devs are so obsessed with animations? who cares about them? I mean the game is already great like this and everybody loves it. Who wants animations in exchange of longer update times?

I genuinely think that devs just uses animations as excuses for longer update cycles since nobody gives a shit about them.

Devs make pools about everything, let's make a pool to see:

a) Faster update cycles
b) Animations

I don't think any dev would do such pool since that is their excuse gone

I wouldn't say that this dev is obsessed with animations, there really aren't that many in the game. Most people expect animations when playing an AVN, especially during lewd scenes and will judge a game heavily based on those. While I agree that faster updates would be great, but I think that this dev is already delivering updates quicker than most.
From what I can see this is the Bobbyboy's first game and I think he's doing an amazing job.

Still images light on my fantasy about what is happening; animation, sadly, for now are so "fake" that the fantasy shut down.

Animations, when done right, are an excellent addition to any AVN.
But, unless they are on par with animations from Dreamland or BaDIK, then they mostly just take up valuable rendering resources & time.

I've already told Bobbyboy on Patreon that he shouldn't stress too much about adding animations to the game right now, just that he focus on finishing the game; Once the game is completed, he can go back and add animations in preparation for a potential Steam release or just like a neat post-epilogue update for the game as a thank you to the fans.

I disagree... animation can enhance the game now and give the Dev a better chance of support from the F95 community. If he choose to go back and re d them yes... we all benifit.

not sure if it was this dev or another but one of them I recall saying while they are slowly working on animations probably won't add them till after the game is completed. As for animations good or bad ones don't matter to me I just like some kind of animation but it depends on the game too. A game that is more heavy on the porn side of things is when I kind of expect them more but typically I don't care about animations since they typically make up the smallest part of most AVN's. Personally I prefer non lewd animation more as I find games that do that stand out and just makes it more of an enjoyable ride. Lewd animations are fine and all but I don't typically care about lewd scenes that often. This game while I don't expect them would make the game better like the Photoshoot scene that was hot or the blow bang scene in the flashback

Agreed, animations tend to have strong pro or anti opinions amongst players...... but i definitely see this "no one cares about them" pretending to speak for majority coming from the anti-group more.

I'm very much pro-animation, I wish he would go to 24fps longer affairs already, yes, I'm aware I'm talking about [days] of rendering extra time, but nothing lends more repeat fappabillity to an adult game like detailed and smooth anis.

which is wild because he doesn't have super long dev cycles. 3 - 4 updates a year or so. I do hope he does add the animations after the game is completed this game I really just want to see more Kathryn animations can come when he goes to steam or something.

I know but you know how it is bro people complain about update times all the time. Personally I wouldn't care if I had to wait a year for the next update.

same only the first 2 or so months after an update is when I feel impatient then I forget about the wait but I things to keep me busy a year for an update would fly by like it's nothing.

It will. The game is “only” on 0.6, and the dev said the lewdness will heat up as we get closer to the end. Like, once the ball is rolling it won’t stop. So, NTR will happen - we just don’t know when exactly.

I'm neutral about animations, I'm fine whether a game has them or not, but if there are animations, I want them to be good, and only limited to sexy (sex and non-sex) scenes, never some mundane scene like walking though.

from the pro animation side, definitely agreed there; when i see games like summer heat or desert stalker having lengthy animations for eating or fighting I'm like wtf...you aren't a AAA studio, stop wasting production time on wannabe cinematics. I don't think we'll have that problem here though.

i'm mixed on that personally. While I did say I perfer non lewd animations it also depends what it is too , as well the context of the scene. I for sure dont want everything to be animated but I do love it when fight scenes or use of magic is animated makes me get into the scene / game more. But something like walking or a butt wiggle I like but rather the dev not waste alot of time on it. If it's something quick go for it I say.

I also don't mind bad or good animations because im a visual person I have a hard time without some kind of comparison if an animation is bad , unless it's really obviously bad. But if it's good it's easier to notice.
