The thing about Luke is, for the most part, he doesn't need to cheat on Kathryn. All he needs to do is tell her what he's getting up to, just like she's doing with him. But for some reason he deliberately decides to keep it to himself, so in effect he's cheating on her. I guess the thrill of doing something wrong, just makes it more exciting for him, and that's why he never tells her, even though a part of him knows it's the right thing to do.

tbh I think more of the issue with calling a fictional character a slut is it ruins the image they have in their head especially if it's a character they love. As well as it can be seen as a negative thing to say especially if someone likes said character.
At least that's why I hate it not to mention everyone has a different definition when one starts to be a slut and one isn't. So I find it real easy to hate that term even in a video game when a character doesn't do anything id consider being a slut. Not to mention to me usually it feels like something these characters wouldn't like to be called one most of the time depending on the character and context of course.
But of course you are right some people actually like that. Like me for instance I like it in the bedroom or if a character might act a little slutty towards the MC or other guys before a sex scene happens. However outside of that I don't like it so much. To me it's a very opinionated word , which is why I try my best not to use it when possible especially when I hate it at times.

maybe, it does set these variables for the first time, so they will be probably used down the line. Whatever choice you make sets that variable to 1 and the others to 2, so it's not a point system I think.

Hey everyone, just a quick progress update before I dive back into work.
I’ve been putting in as much time as I can since the last update, working hard to move things forward. Unfortunately, I hit a bit of a setback. On the advice of a few colleagues, I decided to make some content adjustments to ensure everything stays within Patreon’s guidelines. That meant reworking a couple of scenes, and as a result, tweaking others to keep the story consistent. In total, about 100 renders had to be redone. I am happy with how it is now and in some ways it's a bit better I think.
That said, I’m steadily getting closer to the finish line. There’s still a good chunk of work left, but I’m making solid progress. I know many of you are eagerly waiting for this release (and I really appreciate that), and I’m sorry for the wait. I’m pushing as hard as I can, but unexpected tasks keep adding time to the process.
I’m very confident the update will be finished this month, but I’m not ready to lock in a release window just yet. As soon as I’m sure it’s right around the corner, I’ll post again with a more specific timeline.

Hopefully chapter 8 doesn't balloon out of schedule as much as chapter 7 has, 4+ months for one update is common for other games on this site, hell one year for one update is common for some titles - but I'd rather not see The East Block become one of them.
People hanging out for leaks will need to remember that the first actual release will be to the un-Tiered 'Loyal' patrons ($100 + 6 months) specifically to try to avoid Leakers.

I agree, update is taking too long. I'm trying not to be a negative nancy so I won't gripe too much.
Ultimately untapped potential just means another dev will deliver on that potential in the future.
You never know, someone could be lurking and planning their own VN as we speak.

Not sure what you read there but he's not working on two updates, he's still working on the same one. His most recent delay was due to it being pointed out that a scene in the game may break Patreon's rules. Which is the one about excessive bodily fluids apparently, which I didn't even know was a rule.

I can't figure out what could possibly be done in the game to fall foul of that rule. And I don't think there is one about "excessive" fluids, it's about fetishising them - so no quantity stipulated, but semen, blood, etc. all fall under that. I could be wrong, but it seems like most of the rules in this part of the Patreon guidelines are regarding "real porn", so animated/CG stuff gets more of a pass anyway.
So unless the update somehow fetishises Kathryn's sister beating up the guard and getting off covered in his blood or something, I don't think there'd be anything that we don't already see all the time in games that are on Patreon.
