From the outside looking in I agree he's the best option; right age, handsome, respectful, (potentially) packing heat, etc
But as I was reading through the last few pages I had a delicious thought - there's those stories about women who fall in love with convicted felons, writing letters and donating to lawyers fees. They're always talking about "He's so sweet, would never hurt a fly, wrongfully accused" and you realize it's just a certain type of charisma that pulls impressionable women in.
I know this won't happen because Alex's internal monologue contradicts it, but imagine we get a late game turn revealing Alex did even worse than he's accused of, is actually dangerously psychotic and all we've seen so far is the image he presents to Kathryn and Luke.
This thread would be a shambles with all the Ugly Bastard defenders strutting around declaring victory.
