I've been a supporter for close to a year now and I haven't regretted it in the slightest.

Bobby is creating such an emotional story here and I'm glad I can support even if it's on the lowest tier.
I wonder if we will get a little time with your buddy the flasher in the next update? :ROFLMAO: I haven't seen him yet in any of the preview pictures, so I don't think he's in this one.

I'm with you on that, friend. I been supporting The East Block and Bobbyboy Productions since it came out, and all I can say is he does a great job regardless if he needs some extra time to do each update. When it comes to VN creative works and everything involved in the process, it is not so simple as people think.

Either way, I am more than happy to give my support on Patreon for The East Block, as I do with other Devs, Creators and Artists, and I will continue doing so for as long as Kathryn's hot story and adventures continue. With that said, I'm definitely looking forward to the new upcoming release of The East Block! Cheers! (y)

It makes the most sense tbh, from a supporters point of view, while not being great for a developer. I've been stung before by supporting a certain developer for consecutive months only to have it be abandoned with no warning. I'm not saying that that's going to happen here, Bobby seems pretty active. But you know what they say, once bitten twice shy.
It's only logical that people become more and more cautious about their support. I keep records for years now, of all the games I've ever been interested in, including those I've abandoned for various reasons and those where the developer stopped working. The sad fact is, only a tiny fraction of all games ever make it to full release. And they're rarely the ones you want. Many developers always quit right at the point where things get most interesting, regardless of whether they've received much support or not. Sure, things get messed up every now and then; there are people behind every game. But there are developers who do this all the time, and I actually consider them cheaters. Added to this is the sabotage of haters who take every opportunity to make trouble for the developers just because a game isn't the way they want it to be, deliberately bad reviews are the most harmless thing here. These people still cause a lot of damage. Last but not least: everything is getting more expensive, and wages tend not to grow proportionally. So if you invest in something, do it where it's worthwhile. That's why the majority of players, including myself, only support titles where the developer has persisted for a long time and fulfilled its promises, thus earning its stripes. And yes, I've also made more than one mistake with my support in the past.

I follow a lot of games with great interest. I can almost count the developers I actually support on one hand at the moment. I have just as many on my waiting list, and countless others where I've long since given up. I won't say which ones I actually support at this point. :censored:

The East block is very high on my waiting list. I'm not completely convinced yet. That will change as soon as certain storylines deliver on their promises.

Yep. Anyone that's been around these games long enough has been stung. You just have to pay attention and recognize the warning signs.

I totally understand your views on this when it comes to people / fans giving their support and sometimes the VN gets delayed for whatever reason and it doesn't get released in the timeline expected, and also when the Devs / Creators fail to deliver overall.

When people / fans believe in the VN works done by the Devs / Creators / Artists, and they are happy to give support each month, that also helps the Dev / Creator in their works to do a better job overall and deliver quality works for everyone. Not to mention, eventually many folks get the VN for free over time. Being late with delivering a VN project is acceptable to me personally when I see that the quality of the work is good, and because I understand creative works take time, especially if I like and support the VN Dev / Creator and their work. On the other hand, for those that do not like waiting, simply pause your support and pay when the VN releases as an alternative support option. Everyone has the option to do this.

* However, for Devs / Creators that don't actually deliver at all and mislead their fans and supporters - those are the ones we need to watch out for. In saying that, I had the very unfortunate experience for the first time last year of getting scammed and defrauded by a known Dev / Creator in the VN world, which I never thought He would do such a thing. I won't mention any names for now since my attorney is handling the matter, but I got screwed over pretty bad by someone in the VN world I blindly trusted - and you're right, I got stung by someone I never expected in this industry. Eventually, the facts will speak for themselves. As the saying goes: "What comes around goes around in life."

Nevertheless, this bad experience didn't discourage me from continuing my support for other VN creators, including The East Block, and again, I am happy to continue giving my support and offering help when I am able to some Devs / Creators that I like, especially for those that do quality good works like The East Block, not to mention their VN works are definitely entertaining.

That's my input and feedback on this subject, and now it's time for some early morning coffee in NYC! Cheers! :coffee: (y)

I hope he doesn't change those lines that Kathryn says when she masturbates in bed and the shower. I loved that hot dialogue.
