Guys, is this choice bugged? I tell her not to do this (posing in nude lingerie) but she's done it anyway with no explanation. It looks like something missing here.

I'm trying to go "innocence path" as much as possible, but this choice seems not working correctly.
Nope, not bugged just railroaded. Your choices have a limited impact in this game.

yeah one of the times where you can't stay on the innocence path but I believe this was more due to them being drugged however that isn't explained properly. So it comes across as a choice that made no sense / pointless.

Oh my God "over 95% are doing this full time." Where are you getting this from? You seem to be the one making stuff up. They are all making thousands with no incentive? Really?! A few lost subs is the only consequence? You don't know what you are talking about. Most of the devs I know are doing it part time because they can't make enough to do it full time. This constant bullshit story from the cognitive dissonance crowd is ridiculous. You don't pay for games and yet feel the devs are trying to take advantage of YOU. This helps you feel less guilty. I am playing lots of games for free and supporting some devs some of the time. I feel guilty that I'm not supporting more, but at least I have the self-knowledge and balls to accept that I'm the one stealing from them.
Who says I don't pay for games? In fact the only VNs I will rant and criticise the most are the ones I pay for. This is how I know about the dev more and talk to other patrons, SS members. When devs can answer messages, comments, make posts and do all kinds of other things at anytime every day, so quickly. Its fairly obvious they are doing this full time. I guess you're one of those naive people who believe everything a dev tells you blindly. You sound like you have no idea how these work. That making a game is so time consuming that you have no time left for anything else. Also when you include the interaction needed for your supporters too. Yes there are some devs that do this part time but that is easy to spot by the game update times themselves and how short they are. If a dev is making a 3d rendered game of higher standard with consistent updates. 95 % of the time they are doing this full time. Thats not hard to understand. BTW you can make a VN for free with all the best assets. It doesn't cost a dime if you know where to get everything from. So no a dev doesn't need to invest anything to get their money back its just profit.

Your first part about the money and incentive make no sense. Where is the motivation and urgency to work to a deadline, where is the consequences if they are late? There isn't any. Thats the problem. So they all end up taking advantage of it.

First of all, "the only VNs I will rant and criticise the most" makes no sense. Do you mean the only VNs you criticize, or the VNs you criticize the most? But whatever, you can say you support them and I can never know if you truly do or not. I'm not going to pretend I know when I don't.

I write games on the side and work a full time job. I care about my games and I like to see what people are saying about them, so even though I am at my regular job working, I check into my game-related accounts often and engage whenever I feel like it (I don't work at McDonalds, I work at a computer, so looking at my game accounts and responding at my whim isn't hard). So at least for me, answering messages at any time of day does not mean I'm doing it full time. But even so, how many devs are doing as you say? Answering messages, and doing "all kinds of things" at anytime of day? What kinds of things? You said in your first post that 95% of devs are doing it full time. I think that is not true. Are you saying 95% of devs are doing "all kinds of things at anytime of day," proving they are doing it full time? Are you saying that you keep track of all kings of things 95% of developers do, so that you can confidently say from your surveillance that they are doing it full time? Does that still seem like a good argument to you?

I'm not naïve. And sometimes I read a devs post about their computer dying, or a health issue, or some disaster, and I don't believe it. I will never know if it is true or not, but so many devs post these kinds of sob stories so often that you can't believe them all. So no, I don't usually believe it, but I forgive it because I know that it's hard to get up the motivation to get home from your real job and then put in time on your side job that is not yet making you enough money to make the effort worth it. You want to do it with the hope it will eventually make enough to be worth it, but without a guarantee, it's hard. So maybe you have like 100 patreons and are making 500 a month, but working 50 extra hours a month on top of your regular 120-hour a month job. That's 10 bucks an hour, and that is shit for the level of effort you are putting in. Then you login to F95zone to see if there has been some positive comments that will help you be optimistic that your work will eventually pay off, but it's just a bunch of sexually-frustrated trolls pissing all over your work. So that doesn't really help your motivation either. So you don't get as much work done as you like, and the end of the month comes and you worry that your subscribers are going to do down instead of up (which is absolutely a major consequence, and it's ridiculous to assert otherwise). So you make a last ditch effort to prevent that from happening by posting an excuse. Yeah, it's just an excuse, but isn't it understandable? And shouldn't we understand that their lack of motivation is partly our fault, for not paying them, and for constantly bitching about them and criticizing their work? You say I "sound" like I have no idea how these work. You are wrong. I know exactly how they work. You are fooling yourself due to a simple psychological phenomenon called cognitive dissonance. Weak-minded people are particularly susceptible to it. I am not.

Lastly: "BTW you can make a VN for free with all the best assets. It doesn't cost a dime if you know where to get everything from" I wrote "high quality game", not just any VN. The kind of game that doesn't get torn to shreds in these forums for using the same models, locations and clothing that appear so often in other VNs... Haven't you read that criticism here dozens of times? I have. But if you think you can do it, please do. Prove me wrong, and I'll subscribe to your game for 10 bucks a month for the next 10 years. I mean, if you "know how these work" and there is so much easy money to be made, why not go for it?

Bobbyboy is giving 80+ of their "most loyal" Patrons access to the game even earlier than now.
Technically, this means that a select few 5$ Patrons could be eligible for this.

I wonder if this will backfire horribly, and result in the updates leaking even earlier

Exciting News for Loyal Patrons!

Hey everyone,
Starting with Chapter 7 of The East Block, I’m introducing a new loyalty reward to show my gratitude to those of you who’ve demonstrated exceptional dedication and generosity to this project. This reward also serves as a way to protect The East Block from piracy and leaks, which have unfortunately been an issue in the past.
Why this reward?
In the past, some individuals have signed up briefly, downloaded the game, and then unsubscribed, only to leak it online. This behavior not only undermines the hard work I’ve put into the project but also negatively impacts the experience for genuine supporters. By rewarding loyal patrons, I’m creating a more secure and trustworthy community while ensuring fairness for everyone.
Here’s how it works:
Patrons who qualify for this reward will receive a one-week advance preview of every new chapter before the standard early release schedule begins for everyone else.
How to Qualify:
To be eligible for the loyalty release, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Active membership at any tier for at least six months (these months don’t need to be consecutive).
  • A total pledge of at least $100 USD since the start of the project.
Currently, 79 of you meet these requirements—thank you so much for your incredible support! I’ll update the list regularly as more patrons qualify.
Important Notes:
  • If you don’t qualify for the loyalty release, don’t worry, you won’t be playing the game any later than usual.
  • This reward simply shortens my normal pre-release testing process by one week, allowing me to dedicate that time to the loyalty preview.
I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has supported The East Block and helped it grow into what it is today. This loyalty reward is my way of thanking you while protecting the integrity of the project.
Thank you all for making this possible!
Bobby

Good luck to him, personally I will only "buy" an update for a game I like, as I like quite a few and want to share what I'm willing to spend on AVN's around a few different devs. It's nothing personal, it's just my own preference. If I have to wait another week before buying then fair enough I guess.
While I do understand that this is to reward his "loyal" patreon supporters and an attempt to combat piracy.
I also feel like F95 and the people who visit here, was one of the main platforms that got this game its popularity.
So while he may feel frustrated with it, without it he would still be sat with only a handful of supporters lost in a sea of games on Patreon.

I never once had any intention of trying to keep the game off this site. I just want the new release exclusivity for my paying supporters for a few weeks. I don’t think that’s an unreasonable thing to ask for.

I always found it funny how surprisingly patient folks here can be waiting months (barring occasional questions about updates, which is perfectly fine)... then the release day comes and suddenly these lurker/baby accounts come crawling out from underneath the Refresh button like cockroaches begging for leaks and spamming for heroes nonstop everyday when they've been doing just fine before.

Like it's going to end up here, it's inevitable. But there is being a pirate - and then there's being impatient and addicted to instant gratification. To say the latter in another context... on a porn forum, now that's saying something.

I hope you can release this game in Steam.

he's said before he plans to release it on steam , once he reworks the old animations. I forget when he was hoping to get that done. If I recall correctly I heard he was wanting to try get it done by Spring but im thinking won't be any earlier than Summer.

I went ahead and gave this a try despite wife sharing not really being my cup of tea. I'd say my opinion was mostly okay with it up until the warehouse photo shoot. It gets a bit lost in the sauce regardless of how vanilla your choices have been until then.

What really took me out of it were these lines. Apparently this woman's mom is a multi-millionaire and $70k a year ain't good enough. I need to see this author's w2 because this writing is $10 banana levels of detached from reality.
