That whole situation with Pat really felt like no matter what, the game wants Luke to think Kathryn cheated on him going forward. Oh you're on the pure path or doing sharing as a couple? Well even if she didn't fuck Pat, Luke will now think she did.

There really should have been an option to leave with Luke(because what loving girlfriend wouldn't) but then thats skipping an entire sequence that's like 20+min long and the dev doesnt want you to miss that so oh well. Previously, you almost always had an option not to engage with a situation you didn't like. But not here though. Kathryn loses all agency, which is saying a lot since she was already an airhead that kept getting herself into bad situations.

I never considered this game very good in the writing department, but at least when it came to the situations, you usually had an out if you didn't like where it was going. I think that's the biggest issue and it resulted in forcing an NTR feeling situation on everyone regardless of what sort of route they are on. For that entire sequence, from the start at the restaurant to the motel, you don't get a single choice as Luke or Kathryn and you're first choice is a Pat choice...

weird i guess i made different choices, i let the dad take her out without Luke i guess i didn't know there was an option to have all 3 go? and for the peeps mad about the dad stuff well nothing has to happen between them, yeah maybe luke will suspect something or whatever but we won't know till CH9

lol I feel like im the only 1 not mad at Kat for staying but rather mad at a lack of choice. yeah she should of left despite Luke telling her to stay but I kind of don't blame her . Especially If i put myself in her shoes she is in an awkward spot her boyfriend is angry and wants to be left alone and she is trying to get everyone to make peace and calm down.

While staying with Pat feels wrong it kind of hard for me to be angry at her for staying since Luke was the one that told her to stay and leave him alone more than once. A situation like that I don't know what I would do cause I would want to respect Luke's personal space when he wants to be left alone but Pat feels wrong.

I am a passionate I won't lie. It's just these last two updates not a single hot scene for me. I hate cheating and to have not even one sharing option upsets me.

The thing is other than Nate being there, there was no reason for Kath to hide what she had done or was doing with Franklin because she knows how that turns Luke on. I would have liked to see an extension of that scene after Nate left where she tells Luke what happened and then he asks them to show him, then he encourages them to go further.

that scene pissed me off because it could of been a hot sharing scene but it was just a tease. I was hoping after their talk more would happen. He could of included some sharing scenes so easily in this update and just didn't

Okay, now I’ve completed my playthrough, I’ll drop my overall thoughts on Chapter 8. Because I’ll give some specific examples, I’ll throw it all under a spoiler tag, for those who haven’t played (or just don’t want to read a “wall of text”)!

TLDR: I thought this was a good update in terms of the story (and also a bit in terms of the choices), with a couple of good, hot scenes, but I think it was spoiled quite a bit by the AI animations that were absolutely far too frequent and were often (IMO) not good enough.

I actually didn't think of it like a test from that point of view I can see it tho i hate test like that. I mean I still stand by my answer why her doing that doesn't upset me but that is me being an introvert and someone that tries to avoid conflict

That would make zero sense since Luke hates his father. Pat can fuck off and tbh after Kath staying with him instead of leaving with Luke after their argument, she can as well.

I hear you, but to be fair on this subject Luke is the one responsible for pushing Kathryn to be naughty and then some, so she is not entirely to blame. They are still young and sexually curious, and they face many challenges that they need to overcome. We just need to wait and see how things turn out and how the story shapes up. Not to mention, Luke has cheated on Kathryn more than once, including with Kathryn's Mom, so they are both at fault regardless. But I feel you and Joshy on the end of Chapter 8 - it was sad and it could have been better in some ways.

Overall I still enjoyed The East Block Chapter 8 very much, except the end part, which was sad. However, the emotional depth was good in the end, and there is a choice for Kathryn to avoid cheating where she doesn't cheat on Luke with Pat, but of course everyone wants to see the naughty parts, which is understandable, but the choice to avoid cheating is there. ;-)

Either way, let's see how things turn out in Chapter 9. I have a feeling it will be very good. We should keep an open mind because it is a VN after all. ;-)

Luke only cheats if we let him and then him being rude to Kathryn was the final straw. Drama should come from choices the player makes.

Overall I was punished big time. But hey the ntr fans won so I guess all is good.

And I can't even skip the animations. I play these avns for the sex based around kinks I like nothing else.

And him telling her to stay wasn't genuine because he was saying things like "you'll have more fun with him than with me" after already accussing Pat of trying to get with her. Luke feels like she is ignoring his grievances, siding with Pat over him, and would rather spend time with Pat. He feels betrayed. She should know Luke doesn't like her being alone with him, but she stayed anyways and of course got herself into an even worse situation by staying out the entire night without communication.

So now she looks like a cheating girlfriend regardless.

Yep, just all of this. Already posted messges before, so probably last, unless something changes, I am done. Cause in that moment it just feels like Kathryn bascially turns on us, sides with the other person.

She literally didn't choose us, she chose someone we actively dislike, she stayed with him, when she should of stood up to him, told him off, and then followed us immediately after anyway, no matter what we said.

We should have then went home, had a talk, sorted things out, that leads to very romantic and possibly light rough sex for ehat happened earlier, then we end the night with cuddles, happy again.

Instead we got contrived plot, got character assassination of one of the best girls, and just no choices to decide anything in that moment.

I have no interest in a ch.9, no interest in future chapters, no interest in any ending. The only thing I want is Bobby to spend the next 2-3 months fixing this, changing this, adding our loyal sex scene then we can move on to a ch.9.
Till then, its been a good ride, cause I doubt he will do this. Shame what this game has come to.
