The east block keeps getting better each update. Bobby is a fucking genius and I'm glad I found this game.

Also damn I forgot the games anniversary a few days ago I hope Kathryn isn't mad at me :HideThePain:

So you Pirates better check your Versions.....Hardy Hardy Mates.
Yikes... looks like Bobby is trying every trick in the book to stop people from downloading the game here. Saw some paying patrons complain on there, that they dont have access but its already here. So it looks like he's made up this story to stop people from jumping ship.

I know he's annoyed it got leaked early but he's got to take a hit with dignity. East Block is still making many thousands of dollars per month for him. Enough to be able to do this full time, plus support is only growing on Patreon.

Bobby wouldn't have done this. There are lots of games with viruses in them this year the site even warns about it in the announcements section.

And what he makes on Patreon isn't enough to do this full time IMO.
I certainly wouldn't quit my job for a measly $4K a month. Graphtreon only shows a range of $1K - 4K, so he might not even be getting that much. It's like there's a bunch of people on this site who still live with their parents or live somewhere with an extremely low cost of living.

I agree, I don't think he would say this for no reason, and his Patreons being pissed that the game showed up here so quick, I can understand. But after it got leaked here, and I enjoyed it so much, I signed back on, and I believe other folks probably did also. But its better to be safe than sorry.

Just another reason I do not download links from randoms and only the OP and only after a few days. While not foolproof I notice the community usually notices something right away , especially the uploaders

You guys are pretty naive. Theres thousands of people getting the game on here. Yet no complaints about any virus. Not even when the mods checked it and uploaded multiple links. We all know how people complain about anything on here, even when there's a typo lol. Yet Bobby receives complaints from his patreon members that there is? Why would they complain when they get the links from him. Also the ones that didn't, why would they admit they are playing the pirated version to him then complain about it lol.

The force isn't strong with some simps on this site.

Somehow, I doubt most of AVN devs are based in the Americas (USA or Canada), and I don't know if Bobbyboy is from there. But to say that 4000$ is not enough to live comfortably without a proper job is insulting to the rest of the world. What are you, buying a new iPhone whenever the screen gets dirty? For comparison, the median monthly pay in my country is somewhere around 1000$ (a comfortable life is only possible with some major caveats, but then again, what country in the world doesn't have this problem for the Average Joe?), so making even 2000$ from Patreon every month would certainly boost my quality of life.

Geez...

I have no idea where he's from. I said I wouldn't quit my job for $4k. But that's the thing... people just assume a dev lives somewhere where that's a lot of money. I've seen it so many times. You don't know that. And on top of that, it's not really going to be consistent. Subs could leave after a release and the number drops. Would you really bet your financial security on such flimsy income?

Exactly, besides just because you make 4K doesn't mean you cash out 4K. More like 1K if you're lucky, after buying assets to keep the game fresh and paying your society dues.

$1K lol. You do realise that 99% of the assets used are available for free. If people are paying so much for assets when they are available for free so easily, they have nobody to blame but themselves.

Hes got about 550 subs. Say an average of $10 per person. Thats $5500 per month. Patreon take 8% plus some other smaller fees. So maybe 10%. Still leaves $5000. Hes Canadian so that's CA$7000. Take away tax and other incidentals, he'd still have $CA5000. That's a decent wage - over $1K a week. Im sure he gets tips and gifts too like other devs. Plus a lot of them do custom commission art.

When you can create the game at home leisurely and have no deadline - Not a bad way to earn money.

Completely agree, 4k a month US is a lot more than most people in the US make. Its disgusting to me that anyone would suggest that is low amount of money to make unless like you said they expect to buy whatever, whenever they want.

Free prime assets are basically nonexistent. I would like to see where you can get a character with hair, that's fully textured, rigged and shapekeyed (both regular and corrective) for free.
You're out of your depth! On here and another famous render site. The best and most popular assets on Daz, are leaked literally days after its been released. Just like VNs.

Hair, character models, morphs, clothing, environments, props, etc. Even Progamerjohnny uses them for his fanart. Do you ever wonder why we see the same models and places so often in VNs? You're on a pirate site yet you seem to forget that it incorporates all facets, not just the game itself.
