It is a bummer that the time between updates is stretching longer, the 1 month turnaround between chapter 1 and chapter 2 is a big part of what excited me about this game in the first place.
Don't get me wrong I understand why development time is stretching; branching paths, QOL improvements, etc all add time - still I wish Bobby's dev logs had less "I'm working on improving quality" and instead had more "I'm working on making development more efficient."

I've followed (and supported) other adult games where the developer talks endlessly about "Making their game better and more beautiful", they end up spiralling into the One Update per Year category.

At the beginning of the game, he needed four weeks for an update. Now it takes months, so he is milking his sponsors. The update will definitely be released in November. One more month of cash!

it's almost like you never played an AVN before. I would say alot take on average 3-4 months + so it's a stretch to call it milking , right now. There are alot worst out there that you could be calling a milker. Bobby is no where close to that.

Well, 10 percent of it is "Milkmen." Especially the 7th version, which was released. The air in his room wasn't so humid, it was dry, and he couldn't sleep properly, and then he decided to cut some content from the 7th version, and then whatever else happened. And 90 percent—yes, I agree, it takes 3-4 months. There's another game that's been in the works for a year now, and here it's been another 6 months, and when he said he asked his friends to test the 7th version, maybe he should ask them to help him with the game: one of them will be working on something, another is busy with something else, and he'll be working on the text and whatever else will be there, and each update will take exactly 3-4 months, not 6-7 months.

Seems to me like he was napping and this was his over the top reaction at being woken up.

But yeah there will most likely be some of that, he's certainly ugly enough and most seem to love that shit. I would rather things focus on her and Pat here though, rather than some random guy.

Hey everyone, it's time for another dev log!
I’ve been grinding away on the update, and despite a lot of rerenders and recoding, things are finally starting to come together in a way I’m happy with, balancing each chapter so it feels satisfying on its own and fits smoothly into the larger story is always a challenge, but this one is getting there,
A big reason development stretched out was me being extra critical, some scenes that I thought were “done” just didn’t feel right once I replayed them — too short, not satisfying enough, that meant rewriting, adding dozens of new renders, and recoding sections from scratch, the good news is all the major pieces are in place now, what’s left is stitching it together with some connecting renders and a lot of polish, I’m aiming for another couple of weeks give or take,
I know you’d all love the update yesterday, but I won’t cut corners on quality, that wouldn’t be fair to you or to the project, please remember — if you’re only here to grab the update the second it drops, wait until release day to subscribe, I don’t want anyone feeling burned if their membership runs out just before the update lands,
Here’s the release plan,

• Alpha/Loyalty Test Phase: for members who meet the criteria (at least $150 pledged total, 6 months of membership with at least 3 consecutive), this helps minimize leaks and keeps the rough build limited, alpha testers will be DM’d once it’s ready,
• Tiered Release: after 5 days of testing and fixes, the update rolls out to $16, then $8, then $3.50 tiers, each spaced 5 days apart, each stage will include refinements, bug fixes, and typo clean-up, so by the time it reaches everyone, it’ll be truly polished,

Right now the renders and animations are basically finished, I’m deep in the code, refining pacing and making sure the experience is as fun and smooth as possible, I’ll keep posting weekly dev logs until the first release, so expect at least a couple more before the update drops,

Finally a developer that uses his audience / people who want to have release early as alpha testers.
Would love to see some other devs doing the same.

I know a few people were suggesting that Luke would stay behind on all paths (possibly because the only previews for it at the time were without Luke). That should presumably be the same for when Nate comes over for drinks, where there will be ample opportunity not to include Franklin, if you don't want him there.

I admit I was getting worried that we didn't see Luke in the Kat and Pat previews so far, but here we are. I'm happy that it wasn't a meaningless choice. I will play both options and see what happens. Though it could also confirm that it's Luke and Kat that we see fucking on the hotel room in the blurry preview?

I never thought it would throw out the choice, because I couldn't see the dev making what would be a proper dick move like that. The fucking preview did look more like Pat than Luke (IMO), but it was difficult to tell with the blur. Obviously progress-wise it must be Luke, but I also don't think the dev would show such a massive spoiler, even to the highest tiers, so that also makes it unlikely to be Pat (again, IMO). I also have both options to try out in my existing saves, so I'll be good either way.
