Honestly my problem is not even with Kathryn really, it's how she and Luke were written in some scenes and how the story was developed this chapter.

On my cheating Luke save where he has fucked Courtney, Kat has fucked Pat, I will forgive her, if the dev has her confess (which I doubt) after all it would be hypocritical to condemn her for what Luke himself has also done.

On my save where Luke hasn't cheated, I won't have Kat cheat either so there won't be an issue. I won't have Luke go to the restaurant, I will assume he get's the message that Kat leaves him at the motel before her phone dies. She won't cheat.
Then we go from there, see what direction Bobby is going to go in next time.

I can appreciate your quid pro quo on your cheating route; I can't help thinking that while I as a player could forgive her for cheating, I would be unwilling to remain with her any longer. The decision would have been less about the infidelity but far more about her choice of partner.

Choosing to cheat with Pat would hurt the MC more than anything else because it involved Pat; it almost would seem to me she selected Pat deliberately to inflict the most pain possible. That would be the part I would be unable to accept.

I can't imagine how the MC would want anything to do with a woman who chose to be with Pat, especially after understanding the dysfunctional relationship between those two and I as the player, if permitted, would break up with her immediately upon learning what happened. And then, of course, I would want to hunt down Pat for revenge.

I was a little disappointed about the bait and switch with Nate and Franklin... Should have at least had a choice option there imo and after the build up of that whole situation, for me it fell a bit flat. But that being said I'm looking forward to next chapter

If Kathryn ended up with Franklin in the Motel. She would phone Luke with the telephone at the reception
Luke would encouraged her to have Sex with Franklin and she would recorded everything with her phone

Therein lies my concern. With the turn the writing took during the last update, I'm concerned about how much choice the player retains going forward.

Admittedly, I'm jaded by my experience with other games that eventually force the MC into an NTR situation then require the MC to remain in it as the humiliated cuckold. That's a fine outcome for those who enjoy that sort of thing but rarely am I ever a fan of forced content when it goes against the trend of prior decisions.

I don't have anything against a path going forward without offering choices, as long as the most important choices are offered previously, and the consequences of those choices are felt in the follow-up. But I agree with you about forced paths. Even worse, forced paths that are inconsistent with those important choices. Unless the story properly explains where that development comes from, and this explanation makes sense! But, as you said yourself, "experience with other games" show us many things. One of them is that NTR involving games don't like to waste much time in developing a plot that makes sense, favoring the process and the consequences.
I accept NTR situations when they are consequences of actions. For example, you have the fetish and ask your girl to do it. This happened because of your choice to satisfy your own desires. Whatever happens from here on, is a consequence of you asking your girl to NTR you. But if comes out of nowhere, or for stupid reasons, then not OK.

Reality is completely different, while I can enjoy a sharing game like this one, would I want to do that in real life? Hell no.

I don't think that Kat "selected" Pat really, other than choosing to stay with him at the restaurant after the argument after Luke leaves. But I put that down to the developer being inconsistent and forcing all paths to converge at the same point, than I do anything else. I think it could have been any guy in that motel room when she was feeling horny.

Kat would likely be like "Of all people, why did it have to be my Mom?!" also and while Kat and Courtney's relationship is nowhere near as bad as Luke and Pat's. They seem to have a strange relationship to me. Like she wants what her daughter has, which isn't uncommon I guess.

I do wonder if Bobby will be brave enough to do an ending or path where Courtney is pregnant with Luke's baby and Kat is pregnant with Pat's. That would certainly be some drama.
