The latest update certainly suggests he didn't think there would be people playing a "loyal" route.
That's exactly the plan. Cheating/NTR was added later, but the plans for it have been around for a while, although not from the first day. Fundamentally, though, the game was designed around cuckolding from day one. Of course, there will also be vanilla content, because a relationship is the foundation here. But anyone who knows the game well should realize that this only makes up a tiny part of the content, as the real focus is and always has been on other things.

Long story short: the game's content will be predominantly cuckold and NTR, probably in that order, while the vanilla stuff will be side content at best.

Sharing can be consensual when it’s built on mutual respect between both partners. They can explore and push boundaries while still staying true to their feelings. NTR should only occur as a result of specific choices, gor example, when the relationship is already weak, or when the MC is actively cheating. This is similar to what another anon mentioned about burning boundaries, where sharing, cuck, and NTR elements exist but are entirely dependent on relationship strength and player decisions.

The issue with east block is how NTR was introduced. The game was always about choices, giving the player agency over what happens in their playthrough. Suddenly, it did a complete 180, taking a nose dive into NTR clichés and banalities.

Take the dinner scene with the MC’s father. Kath should have been aware of the strained relationship between the MC and his dad. Yet she repeatedly belittles the MC in front of someone he despises, dances with that man, and when the MC finally has enough of the humiliation, she chooses to stay behind instead of following her boyfriend. To add insult to injury, she cheats, not just with anyone, but with the MC’s father, someone the MC actively hates.

That scene directly contradicts how the game had presented itself up to that point and nearly dismantles Kath’s established personality. Even if the NTR was meant to be "unavoidable" it was executed extremely poorly.

The only thing I'll disagree with is the wording right at the start - sharing can only be consensual, if it's not consensual, then it's not sharing!

Some games have the girlfriend "coerce" their weak boyfriend into an open relationship and sharing. Generally the boyfriend is always unsure but let it happen and end up often with NTR. When I wrote this, I had Vulgar Reverie in mind. Where the MC is a cuck but both he and his girlfriend are in love and respect each other.

I wouldn't call that sharing. I think that's more what would be called a "willing cuckold" situation (eventually willing, even if initially reluctant). I'm not an expert in this area, or it's myriad terminology, by any stretch though.

I agree that the introduction of cheating was very weak. However, it was still foreseeable for me. From the start, the game was designed around cuckolding, so the inclusion of cheating surprised me somewhat. However, I've known about this plan for at least a year, so it didn't catch me completely off guard. Furthermore, both main characters had corresponding fantasies throughout the entire game. The fact that these would become reality sooner or later didn't come out of nowhere.

On the other hand, I can't agree so generally with the idea that the dynamics in a relationship lead to sharing or cheating. I myself have never cheated. However, I know many who have, and some have confided their stories to me. Believe me, there are far more absurd stories and far weaker reasons.

And last but not least:
It's always our decision. Kathryn and her boyfriend repeatedly find themselves in absurd, even funny, situations, sometimes involving complete strangers. And in these situations, people try to get into trouble with us. We can't prevent that; these situations are scripted. The goal is clear: the developer wants to lure us. And we have to be willing to engage with something if we want to see anything worthwhile at all, because the game is designed around these lewd scenes. But whether we take the bait or not is up to us.

It certainly looks like there will be more cheating and NTR in the future, which is interesting since it was promised that the Kat would not cheat.
Looks to me like the Dev is setting up cheating pathways through the game for Kathryn to rival Lukes. The idea that it's not in her personality to cheat is nonsense, because Luke is clearly changing his girlfriend's personality by encouraging her to become increasingly slutty. He is literally making her into a different person, who could potentially cheat on him. And that doesn't even take into account that she's being hyped up on Santini's drug, like most of the characters in this game, that's increasing her libido and reducing her inhibitions. The whole point of the drug is to increase reckless promiscuity amongst New York's population. The idea that this can affect Luke and potentially make him into a serial cheat, but somehow not affect Kathryn in the same way, well that was the daft reasoning.

It's the Dev (not me) that wrote that she would not cheat. There are several screenshots posted of it a few pages back. But it wasn't written in stone apparently.

I've noticed some people on here and Patreon call Luke Kathryn's husband, but they aren't married.
It's probably the same as not bothering to refer to all the different character names in these AVNs when they mostly fit into the same archetypes: it's the husband, the wife, the boss, the father in law, the mother, the older sister, the younger sister, the best friend, the temptress etc. But as far as the relationship here goes for all intents and purposes they may as well be married. They live together, they get a new home together, move to a new city together, handle their relatives together, clearly want to be together forever etc.
In many western countries where marriage is falling out of fashion people do live together like that for decades on end, even having kids and raising them together without ever tying the knot "officially" and are granted many of the same legal protections "married" couples do when it comes to their children, taxes, property etc. For the purpose of infidelity it's not much of a difference (can't even recall whether they're engaged or not).

I wasn't trying to insinuate that it was you. Just that the original idea was a bit stupid, because drugs can make anybody behave irrationally. So why wouldn't Kathryn be just as likely to cheat as Luke? Because the game suggests heavily that it's the drug that's making Luke himself behave out of character. And if that's the case, then surely Kathryn should have the potential to do the same?

Obviously, the player can get them to resist, but the potential should still be there., even if it's less likely than with other characters.

Funny she can cheat after a poll was made asking what people wanted and her cheating won. After that annoying blowjob in the last chapter I was hoping for some good cuck stuff this time around but no.

And I don't care about anything but full penetration in avns now anything less is meaningless to me, so if the next update she just blows a guy I'll scream because that will be three in a row that is a big nothing for me.

Personally I hold no stock in the drug effecting them in a way that would cause them to cheat or not for one reason. It kind of feels like alot of the time they are able to keep their self in check but when it's needed for the plot or a hot scene it kicks in out of nowhere. So the fact it feels like it only works some of the time makes the whole drug thing a mute point in my mind. It just Bobby wanting a reason for them acting a certain way when they go over the top.

God, I hope that drug shit isn't in the next game.

Yeah same I can't stand it I mean I wouldn't like it no matter what but I could tolerate it more if it felt like it effected them equally and not randomly. Like it honestly feels like the drug shit effects Luke way more. While Kathryn like once or twice cause every other time was her doing stuff in a loving way for Luke not cause of the Drug and if it was the drug it was way more subtle and barley had an effect on Kathryn imo.

Regardless of whether she was doing it out of love for Luke, she's still willing to go along with his increasingly reckless behaviour, which might indicate the drug is still affecting her, just in a somewhat different manner. Maybe she isn't cheating, but she's still doing a lot of pretty stupid things. just because she wants to please Luke.

Luke loves Kathryn, it's just his cuckold fetish is fresh in his mind. He hasn't learnt to control it yet. He doesn't even understand it yet either, which is kind of annoying when there are only about six chapters left.
