Not at all! I'm sorry there hasn't been a single update in months, but I'm still working on it. I added a whole new sequence that took nearly a full month to make. The mini VN I promised my subscribers also took a long time to finish.
A month ago I posted the first image I rendered of the morning after (I just tweeted it too, so you all can see it) and after that I made 26 more. Right now I still have like 20 new images to setup and render, a new animation that's ready, but not rendered, color correction, a bit of extra coding and it's done.
Saying that I thank you all for your patience is a huge understatement. I really hope it's all worth it.
By the way, it seriously feels like a lot more, but I checked and I posted the first version on June 24th last year, so if everything goes as expected, it's going to take less than 12 months from start to finish. Considering that I'm doing this in my spare nights and holidays and that I'm putting out one new image for every 2 lines of dialogue, I'm quite happy about the project in general.
And most important, I still feel passionate about writing new stories and creating more novels and games, which is good.

you probably have heard of it, yet just in case you havent - halfway house - once a great and very promising project.
now, it is in some kind of a limbo - the last (half)update was more than a year ago.
that dev apart from doing work on the main project, after only few updates has started side projects, miniVNs and comics, for his supporters and as advertising thing.
wouldnt bet he is overly happy with his success so far...for players/supporters, you can imagine.
im not saying the same will happen here, yet just be cautious with side-things.
particularly when/if you start a larger project/game, after TE is finished.

For the rest, it's just a matter of patience and perseverance.
LESS!!More than a week later after the last announcement with "only around 25 renders are left for the whole game to be finished", are we safe to assume that we are sitting at around 20 renders (to be done yet), at least?
I'm working on the EPILOGUE right now! Been filtering images while rendering. I still don't know how my poor 1660ti's still holding...

well, hopefully you are managing through any obstacle you might face there.

All the renders are done. 624 images in total! Color grading is also finished. I’m currently coding the last three scenes, adding the music and a couple of sound effects and… it should be dropping any day now!!

It's official. Just a few minutes ago, I finally released The Escort v.1.0 on SubscribeStar. The public release will be available in just one week.
And here I am, sitting in front of the computer, trying to figure out what to say, but the only thing I can think of is how weird it feels that this whole project, something that's been an active part of my everyday life for more than a year, is over.
On the other hand, I can't wait to start with the next!! And I obviously want to know what you guys think about this one!!
My brain is a mess... I'm off to bed! See you next week! (Or when I get the notification for new replies...)

drfronkonstinmd Nice update. I hope your future projects have Jen, she is one of my all time favorites. It was kinda sad that many users did not get the "The Escort" I totally understood what transpired between MC and Jen.
First of all, thank you. It's true that many people saw the title and immediately thought about sharing, cuckolding, NTR and stuff like that. I can't blame them. If you don't know anything about the game itself and only focus on the title and a few tags, that's what it sounds like. And no matter how many times I told everyone otherwise, they just didn't seem to trust me. The first release being tagged as "non sexual content" didn't help either, but that's what it was at that moment. Lots of teasing, but no actual nudity or sex. But you know what? I learned a lot in the process, which is always a good thing, and still I got a decent number of followers and subscribers who seem to be quite happy with the whole story and the game itself.
About Jen... Don't worry. She's so close to my ideal of perfection, both physically and in dynamic with the MC that it would be a crime not to include her in future projects. She was my very first character and, so far, I haven't been able to create another that just gets it right on so many levels. I still have the first story I wrote around her (which doesn't have anything to do with The Escort and doesn't acknowledge Jen ever being anything other than a college student and nothing more) that I could definitely develop at some point. That one is pure unadultered bro-sis wholesome wincest over the course of 5 days at home while mom and dad are on vacation. I still don't know if that should be my third or fourth project.
On the other hand, I want to explore new grounds. I've been writing a lot while finishing The Escort and I've got a couple of finished scripts ready to start production. In fact, I'm working on the two main characters for the next game right now and I'll be posting a couple of sneak peeks in a few hours on SubscribeStar.
What I can honestly say is that I may switch between genres and overall structures, but the core aspects of my stories and general style will definitely remain, so if you enjoyed The Escort for its inner values and the dynamic between characters, you'll definitely like what's coming.

Any plans to release this public at some point?
Having finished game that many could play probably would help increasing the support upon starting a new project.
Also that would help those like me, unable to support you monetary, for whatever the reason could be, yet eager to play it regardless
